Hi I tried so many times on my Samsung A12 and it doesn't work. I previously performed the method on other Samsung smartphone it work. I will keep on trying and if it persist I will abandon the phone and get a new one.

Had a phone kept turning its self on and off wanted to try factory reset you explained it perfectly.... including needing to interrupt its restart issue

We had to connect the usb to my husband Samsung phone and the process shown above worked for us.

Instead of appear the setting, it's appear "SAMSUNG"
it's like a restart. And then it's show up wallpaper.
