I think the "miracle cure" part at the end was a jab at big pharmacy. Saying "we can fix thus with pills" even though it's possession.

OK, a little late to the party, but I just watched this movie, and came across this video, but the movie plays like a culling of the herd. Sure Max's numbers of viewership were high, but 4 million is a drop in the bucket when it comes to world population, mind that the outbreak of violence would have answered for some that didn't watch, it by no means would have been a full extinction event. Pay close attention to the news blurbs we get at the end, martial law, a miracle cure (in pill form no less), and what I can only expect as a huge up swing for religion... Hmmm, odd, almost calculated. They don't really give you an idea of how much time has passed when you get the news bits, but it is shot as not much at all, for such a biblical event someone sure seemed ready.

Is it just me or is this movie absolutely TERRIBLE! The effects are completely shitty and at times aren't even effects (the "long arms" reaching under the bathroom stall, those were regular length arms nothing long or freaky about it) but strangely the acting was the best thing and that's saying something! Overall it was too campy for me 🤷🏾‍♀️EDIT!!!!

I think it would’ve been a cool detail in this movie if every time it cut to people in the outside world, a horn was in the distance signaling that this is the apocalypse

The miracle cure is part of his plan. It's kinda well-known but it's in the bible.

I enjoyed this movie, especially the line "Because I was there when he wrote it". Beautifully delivered. I also enjoyed watching it and realizing later one actor was from the new nightmare (failed) reboot and the other the young guy who got to screw Jennifer Lopez in a movie I can't remember the name of.
