That plastic feeling pink or red item you picked up is a hot water bottle. You place hot water in it and place this heated "bottle" on your lap or stomach or under your leg for the healing effect on your body

It's a hair dryer. Under the off-white color hose is a plastic bag or tuque that you place over your hair..a net, you plug in the box or machine mechanism, set the turn dials to minimum (for a start) and feel the temperature and air flow. Adjust both dials to get comfortable then after a while your hair is dry

The Sunbeam devise in the living room was a portable hair dryer. There is a vinyl cap that fits over the roller laiden wet hair, turn it on and it dries the hair. Upstairs first bedroom at the foot of the bed was a hot water bottle. It could be used to warm the feet while in bed but it had several medicinal applications as well.
