ОтветитьA true American craftsman, his pieces will only increase in value as the years go by,
ОтветитьI watched to the end....and I not only learned but enjoyed the programs of old. But MOST of all, love his New England accent...being a mid-westerner, that was the salt and pepper of the program.
ОтветитьI watched till the end.
ОтветитьI watched till the end. Norm was the GOAT of carpentry and woodworking for me. I never had the time to do much with woodworking until I retired 4 years ago, but have done a number of nice projects since. Watching Norm's shows gave me to confidence to "try it myself", and I'll always be grateful for that!

ОтветитьBefore the internet I would look up the new yankee workshop show times in the TV guide and watch every weekend on PBS. Norm inspired and taught me so much about woodworking. I had taken woodshop in jr. high and highschool but Norm was a far better teacher. I still watch woodworking videos on you tube because its entertaining and interesting to watch creative people but Norm really is the benchmark of the medium.

ОтветитьI watched till the end - and enjoyed it
ОтветитьI met Norm at a trade show/ book signing as many others have. This particular signing was for his “new house” book.
When he spoke at the show, he did not say one single word about any of his projects, skills, tools, etc.
He was extremely modest, and he spoke mostly of his travels meeting other great carpenters and trades people who take pride in what they create for a living. He was such a gentleman ! I sure miss looking forward to seeing him once a week on the TV !
Loved all his shows, very inspired by his work ethic, started my carpentry interest.
ОтветитьMan is legend simple as that !!!!!!!!

Try the new Yorkshire workshop, its different but high quality woodwork and craftsmanship. Miss Norm
ОтветитьI sincerely hope he is enjoying himself. I know he took delivery of a new watercraft and hope he is spending some quiet time on the water with the family and away from the sawdust. Good luck to you. Narragansett Bay
