How To Play Minecraft Java with a Controller (PC 1.20.1)

Doesn't work. As soon as you install the two mods the game crashes continuously. The only way for the forge installation to work is to remove the Framework and Controllable mods from the folder. So can't install controllable to the game.

i just want to play with a controller damn

so when i go to open minecraft through forge it says i have to buy it. when i open it though the normal launcher it doesn’t show my forge thing on the version dropdown

This is outdated, the link in your bio will not take you to the link you intended. If you enter the same link as you have in your video, you will get to the right page but the last update was done 2023 for 1.20.1. Not the latest version 1.21. I don´t know if this works anyways? maybe, but i will not try beccuse is not the right version.

Followed your links which go to newer versions now, and minecraft is on a newer version now too, but should be fine. Put the 2 files in the mod folder like you said, but when launching forge the controller mod is throwing up an error. Failure message: Mod controllable requires framework 0.6.5 or above. Currently, framework is not installed.

But it is. framework-fabric-1.21-0.9.0.jar is in the mods folder. Dunno why it's not reading it.

I'm so happy, now I can play minecraft in peace. Thank you for this very simple toutorial!

For people that get the ERROR CODE 1 try with Controllable version 0.20.3 and the Framework version 0.6.5 it should work

how do you do this with the latest 1.21.1 version ? also can you have shaders and controller support at the same time ?

The small crossers to select anything, immediately goes all the way left and if I make it into the game, it has my look and move consistently moving and looking all directions. I’m doing ATM 9 so maybe something in there but

My wireless xbox controller works for every game on my macbook and this mod can't recognize it… idk what to do. I followed every step and tried to plug it in with a wire but nothing.

I was able to download the forge mod, but when I added controllable and framework the the mods folder, nothing changed when I restarted the launcher. I still only have forge there. How do I fix this?
