I hated the mom on Malcolm in the Middle. This is spot on for me. Ida was more tolerable. She may have been mean, but at least she brought some humor.

I had a mother who brought no use or value to our family like Lois, but she thought it was her right to control others and scream simply because she gave birth. She was an idiot who never knew what was best for anyone and in fact pushed ideas on our family that were bad for us and harmed us as whole. My father was too much of a pussy to stand up to her. We all suffered as a result. Lois from Malcomn in the Middle is a villian not a role model.

Hilarious but in the show, Lois goes on a trip to the military academy and leaves Hal and the kids for a few days. Malcom draws blueprints for a killer robot, Hal constructs it with enhancements, starts smoking again, has insomnia, refuses to go to work, and looks borderline on drugs. Lois was a necessary evil. Hal would have been homeless and the kids in foster care if it wasn't for Lois lol.

I never understood the appeal of MitM, entirely because I’ve lived with abusive parents who weren’t that different from the parents in that show. So to see this joke in Family Guy was like Seth saying to me “Hey kid, you’re right to hate this bitch. As satisfying as this was to watch,we all have to agree that Malcolm's mother has put up with a ton of shit. Which explains why she acts like a hateful woman. You've got her own mother who was cruel to her throughout her entire life,then all of her children just had a nack for getting into trouble. Add all of that and it's a miracle she didn't off her entire family
