Disney Cruise Line Vs Royal Caribbean International

You can't compare because they're different ship sizes and products. Disney is considered a premium line. Royal CL is entry level.

Royal is great and has wonderful things for kiddos of all ages too. We were docked next to a Disney ship and it was dwarfed by the one we were on. Also, considering the news about who Disney has been hiring, I think I'll keep sailing with my kids with Royal. Just sayin....

I love Disney but I’d rather choose Royal, with too many kids I’ll end nuts by the ending of the vacay

The service of Disney is untouchable. Disney is my number 1 and Royal is actually second. Adult only is virgin, hands down

“Theme” has nothing to do with who has the best food.

On the Dream not every room has pull down beds.

Y'all do this comparison with the oasis class ships with Royal Caribbean, then get back to me. Hands down, I think Royal Caribbean wins, and Disney was my first cruise ever!

I think with small kids go with Disney, if you have a teen and a pre teen, you go with Royal.

Disney because it is way better and like what people say “ it’s the happiest place on earth!!” I have been going on Disney cruises ever since I was 4 months know I am 16

I prefer disney, disney smells amazing and everybody is so sweet.

Having 3 themed dining rooms does not equal having better food. It is a more entertaining room, but it doesn't influence the quality of the food

Disney you can drink soda without a drink package and room service is covered in the cost of cruise

IMO Royal wins on each point! Disney was our first ...then we tried ROYAL and have cruise Royal from then on. we never even THINK of Disney. D was tooooooo LOUD and CROWED...the food no no no Royal's FOOD my husband is a foodie n will NEVER go back to D.

I pick Disney. Disney’s food and service was better than Royal during my last cruises (2022 and 2023)

My MIL got really expensive virgin voyages tickets for myself, hubs, BIL and herself.. that was crazy. If u don’t like being around children I recommend it lol

Disney if the kids are <8 years old, Royal if the kids are >8

I think Viking wins, because they don't allow children and they carry a maximum of 930 passengers. And if I lived in the UK, I'd say Saga wins because they go one better: their age requirement is 50 and over.
But for families who want to cruise cheap on cattle ships crammed to the hilt with thousands of people, it sounds like they can't go wrong with either RC or Disney. Honestly, both of them seem like the cruise ship equivalent of a Cici's Pizza Buffet.

RC is overbooking now. I doubt Disney does that!

I'll do virgin before either, they don't charge for any food outside tomahawks and lobsters, they have cheaper prices for alcohol, longer times in port, and most importantly, no kids

You might want to factor in the $240 RC wants for their water park next year. Oh, and Disney doesn’t charge for room service (except booze) and you don’t have to buy a soda package with them. Imagine having to have a drink package for soda. RC charges less for their cabins, but they nickel and dime you for everything else. Water park, hot air balloon, how much are those activities in the ship (surf rider, zip,one, etc)? Also, I hear RC is looking to start charging for their pool deck food like their pizza. I’ll stick with Disney. At least I know upfront what I’m paying for and getting.
