ОтветитьOur last Norwegian cruise from Seattle to Alaska ,met this Woman at the hotel , when we got to the cruise port she was all of a sudden handicapped , got priority boarding , seen Her the next day walking just fine . I brought 2 Italian suits I had and love (You do get what You pay for )on wooden hangers ,got to our balcony cabin hangers are broken tore the suit bags suits ok , went to customer service asked attentant how his day was, He replied everday is a good day ,showed him the problem ,new hangers and a $25.00 on board credit, just be POLITE .

ОтветитьAnger never resolves the situation. If you approach the desk or crew members with a calm attitude they will be glad to help. Be nice and they will be nice too.

ОтветитьDon’t people know that asking for anything in a nice way, can take you farther than being rude and yelling. For example at a local restaurant, if we don’t like the service or anything about the restaurant, we solve the problem very easy, we don’t ever go back.

ОтветитьPeople are not only rude on a cruise ship! I worked in an insurance company claims department and wax yelled at at least once a day.
ОтветитьSome people think they are entitlled. If you want something fixed be nice. I have worked in retail for 20 years it also happens there. My mother always said you get more with honey than lemons. We are all put on this earth the same so show respect for one another and be nice, if there is a problem be nice about it and you will get it fixed. Rude passengers like that make the whole cruise bad not just for the staff, we go on holiday to relax not to lisen to horrible passengers who have nothing better to do than complain.
ОтветитьI used to work on the railway (29 years, yes you get less for murder), and the second someone started ranting at me was exactly the same second that my defenses went up and my ability to sort the issue disappeared. However when someone was polite, I made sure I done my best to sort the issue out. Somehow I doubt I'm the only one that applies to.
ОтветитьI saw someone yell at the stateroom attendant because they didn’t clean their cabin when they went down to breakfast! He said he had 14 cabins and did them in order. He offered to do it immediately, but they need to leave for a few minutes- she refused stating, they had to work in their cabin and he should have done it while they were at breakfast!! Rude!!!

ОтветитьCrew members work hard and deserve to be treated better. I always smile, say good morning (or whatever time of the day it is) say please and thank you. It not only makes them feel appreciated but it just might make their day. Just be nice.

ОтветитьI’ve worked customer service for 23 yrs. and unless you’ve worked it, you will never understand. These days people have no manners and we are passing it on to the kids. It takes just as much energy to be kind as it does to be cruel. Had a great day Don!
ОтветитьIt’s never okay to yell at someone. I know we lose our cool sometimes, but it shows a great lack of control, and a whole lot of immaturity. I believe the saying “you catch more flies with honey, than you do with vinegar” applies here.
Also, yelling at the crew is a lot like biting the hand that feeds you… just sayin’ 😉

ОтветитьIf they forgot to put something on the plate let the waiter know and they'll bring it out on a smaller plate that 1 item they forgot if the food is not at a proper temperature kindly ask the waiter if they can reheat it . But on another note all food must be served at a temperature that is food and drink safe and I think the coast guard does need to at least make sure the food comes out hot for safety reasons but I would not get up in the waiter's face over that I would just say explain that this food was really cold I don't think it's really safe couldn't spit so cold could you please bring me out of the blade outfit very much appreciate that That's how I should be done
ОтветитьThat passenger that beat on the service desk and yelled at the crew member and had security have to take him off the ship they should have made him do the naked purple walk now the words they should have stripped a butt ball naked and then marched as ass through the ship And then off the ship to the key and then there's throne that close afterwards

Each time I remained calm and explained I wasn’t complaining about the cruise line but rather the operator of the excursion and what was wrong. I also handed my concern to them in writing. One issue they just shrugged and said they couldn’t do anything about it, the other I received 50% back in OBC. YOU DONT need to be a jerk about it.

ОтветитьThe customer service, waiters, and other staff are people too not animals. Just be calm and talk nice to them. You dont know how long they have been working, who spoke to them nasty before you, and they may not feel well that day. Jusy be kind!!! Thanks Don!!!
ОтветитьYou catch more bees with honey than with vinegar. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been behind a screaming grouch at guest services. When it’s my turn, I just smile & empathize with the clerk and get anything I need and more. Silver linings.
