Fingering before the concert for a warm-up! You can hear the keys/valves clicking
...at least, I hope that's the case. If not, my trust will be shattered lol
Yo fake it till you make my friend she got an award two years ago just for this at a banquet
Ответитьdude the amount of anger that band director probably let out after concert
ОтветитьYall this is fake I am also in band and was there they where looking at the notes and how to finger them it’s a warm up for beginners
ОтветитьI go to that school
ОтветитьIt’s a warmup
Ответитьno it’s air playing lmao mediocre bands do this to get extra practice in before a performance. imo all it does it show ur a terrible band usually 💀
ОтветитьThey are just fingering the notes lol
ОтветитьIn 6th grade orchestra we did this on purpose to mess with the audience. Man I miss orchestra, now I’m in marching band playing bass clarinet cos my school doesn’t have one 💀
ОтветитьWhy would they air play on stage and not in their band room
ОтветитьThis is so dumb that you can tell even the conductor had no experience
Ответитьoh yeah you sold me fent behind walmart
ОтветитьAnd I thought my concert was great
ОтветитьBro really answered the question “tell me how you don’t know anything about music without telling me you don’t know anything about music”
Ответитьlol
ОтветитьOkay so probably don’t do this… certain band teachers have much experience, so that makes them aware of who’s not playing and who is. So if your in a band like this and everyone is playing but you’re not, the band director can probably know that by listening to everyone and figuring out you’re not playing. Also, my band director would have lost his SHIIIT.
ОтветитьHigh school trumpet/sax player here, we had a concert like a week or 2 ago and one of our songs was sleigh ride (which literally everyone but the freshman have played)... there was an entire 3 measures of almost silence because we only had a few weeks to practice before and after fall break and no one practiced
ОтветитьThis is a warmup!? In my perspective I call this “Air-fixie-uppy”
ОтветитьBro I was there it was at the beginning of this song
ОтветитьI mean everyone who plays an instrument does this lol including me a clarinetist
Ответитьthis why band is AASSSSSSSSSSSS
ОтветитьThe director still trying to make them play
ОтветитьConductor realized they weren't well enough prepared.
ОтветитьTHATS MY SCHOOL BRO
ОтветитьDirector must have gone cheap and bought the wrong sound of silence smh
ОтветитьOk literally this is how our high schools varsity band is. The varsity orchestra which I hope to be in next year asked yesterday if band can rehearse sleigh ride with jem, and they said theyre not ready and i was like. ".... THE CONCERT IS NEXT THURSDAY" and then my friend said they wanted to rehearse Thursday. And I was "....ARE YOU FR??" and it's embarrassing for our varsity band because they have 4 directors and they're not ready while VARSITY ORCHESTRA HAS ONLY 1! 1 DIRECTOR AND THEYRE READY
Ответить....
ОтветитьBro my director would actually curse at us
ОтветитьYea because schools are only obsessed with what’s between you kids legs and how lgbtq they are!! Learning shit is over in public schools they pump out complete idiots at this point
ОтветитьThis will happen one day to me
ОтветитьAs a trombonist, this is very normal. This is called dry powering it is where we play without using sound to practice what we learned or played before the concert starts.
ОтветитьIt's fake
ОтветитьHope this don’t happen to me
ОтветитьOne Band One Sound Fashoo! 😮💨💯
ОтветитьThat’s not even Alston ridge middle
ОтветитьMy director would be like:
Oh you guys never listen you never try is it because I’m a woman hmm if I were a man would you listen you know what I’m done with this concert
That’s why I quit band a while ago
This better have been a prank, otherwise, I, I, I just don’t know
ОтветитьThis is fake the sound dosent match aswell as why would the director keep going? The timpani person is clearly hitting the drum aswell
ОтветитьThey might have rests
ОтветитьI could see this happening in my band class
ОтветитьI go to this school lol, the director mrs dover left this year sadly
ОтветитьThere can be several theories for this. It could be John Cage's "4'33" which is complete silence. It is originally a piano piece, but could be used for ensembles.. Another theory is that they are showing the audience/parents how they practice by air playing. The focus is on the slide and finger position as well as quietly tapping the rhythm (percussion) on time. Educators are to encourage to show the hard work by sometimes showing how students sight read or practice and then introduce the concert rep they did all semester. Perhaps this is what happened?
Ответить😂😂😂😂😂😂 me:
Ответитьnot a single wrong note....
ОтветитьIt’s giving 4,33,
ОтветитьIf that was I'd still somehow get told I was playing my trumpet too loud.
ОтветитьThey probably have a rest you really think you know everything
Ответитьthe piece just starts with everyone playing 3 measures of rest for dramatic effect
Ответитьyou can hear the trumpet valves pushing down
Ответить
