Steffi was the luckiest player who had an easy career ride. She never met anyone who was halfway decent as prime Martina or Chris Evert. Martina was past her prime, her stooge schmo put away Monica Seles. Occasional Sukova, V Sanchez, Capriati didn’t pose any meaningful competition to her . Then she got to beat up sub standard competition until Hingis and Williams sisters showed up.

Of backhand slices. Martina always slicing to get to net. Graff hits slice on backhand till she can crank her forehand. This fascinating to watch . Old serve and volley style versus staying back waiting to uncork lethal forehand. They ended up 9-9 on there head to head. A great rivalry.

Martina has every shots. Martina was at least light years ahead steffi and was much better player. GS wins or winning titles don't tell the whole truth. In my opinion, martina is the best player in women's tennis history. Steffi was just lucky to win so many GS titles.

Golden era of tennis! Beautiful game, enjoyment to watch. For the last 15 years it's like a couple of cloned, boring players playing against themselves. TERRIBLE!!!

This was the best tennis grand slam tournament in history. The Capriati and Seles semifinal, this semifinal, and the epic Jimmy Connors run. Tremendous athletes and personalities. It’s pure magic that transcended sports.
