I pulled c1 hutao in 70 wishes. Didn’t even think I would get her let alone a back to back 5 star.

I’m so happy I got c1 over homa after watching this video.

It’s really easy falling into the 5 star weapon trap but in this case it doesn’t seem worth it. C1 is QOL and 3 more charge attacks is more than 10% damage.

I think I would of pulled Homa if I didn’t get the back to back.

Homa weapon or c1 hutao

I've been saving for a while now for hu tao 186 wishes in total (1960 primo pack Included) 60 pity on character banner and 40 on weapon I'm hoping to get homa and hu tao but if I have leftovers I'll roll for c1

No, it's not worth it, i know my luck, i dont have that much cd (200~240) with no cd weapon but my em is 300+ with no EM sands, so i think i will keep it as is

okay so everyone give me advice 😭 as of now, her crit rate is 60 and crit damage is 170. she has 200+ em. 30k hp. 1k atk. she uses dragon's bane. should i risk for homa? or should i be satisfied with this build and save for future characters?

Mines is only C0 and has R3 Dragon's Bane, but she is really great nonetheless, and leaving her at C0 and skipping the Staff of Homa allows me to save up for characters that I don't have.

How was your crit damage so high with dragons bane over 200

thing is, it's hu tao vape dmg only, with sucrose\albedo EM buff homa would be even better.
And ye melt nuke builds are closed for you if you use DB

A couple of things to point out concerning db and homa vapes:

For a less optimized build, the dmg difference between homa and dragonsbane is going to be a lot bigger.

Another thing to keep in mind, while you probably have a Dragonsbane R1 or R2 flying around, the Dragonsbane in this video is at R5 and is compared to Homa at R1.

Now I dont know about you, but I am at AR56 and have only gotten a Dragonsbane R1 so far (playing since relase, even spending). It is going to take years for a f2p to get a Dragonsbane R5 - unless incredibly lucky. A true f2p comparison would be to compare Dragonsbane R1 / R2 to Homa R1 and suddenly the difference between an optimized build is starting to get a lot bigger.


So definitely take this video with a grain of salt, Homa is actually much better than shown here.


Should this force you into spending wishes on homa? No, Dragonsbane is still fine at R1, but Hu Tao with Homa R1 deals 20%+ more damage vs Dragonsbane R1/2.

At some point, you also have enough characters that you actually want to go for a couple of 5* weapons. Instead of randomly hoping for years for a Dragonsbane R5, might as well save those wishes and go for Homa and perhaps get other nice weapons on the way.

Even though i have R5 DB still homa is the best weapon on her, Doing melt damage on DB is no bueno for homa side though it's an absolute win also big downside of DB ur doing more less damage on non vaporize but on Homa its very good without even doing vaporize and If u have homa like he said on the video u could slap to any character who use polearm pretty much like a universal weapon.





edit: Ohh please just accept the fact that r5 db can't out damage r1 homa even what kind of stats u running on haha

50k vs 56k, But you Charge attack 8-9 times per E. So that's 48k more damage on the homa side, Equivalent to doing 1 more charge vs the dragon's bane.

how you have 1700 attack, i have 600 atk in artifact but i have 1200 atk globaly , my hu yao is lvl 80 with blackcliff with 449

Just got c1 hu tao through 50/50. Gonna throw my wishes into weapon banner until the patch ends, then save for ganyu. Though, I'd be fine rocking the dragon's bane honestly, I think it really gets the job done.

Was going to go for c0 did my ten pull wishes 68 to 78 and I got 2 hu tao :) so I have c1 now weapon is deathmatch I'm ar 35

i lost homa to elegy (which is ok, my hu tao was doing fairly well without it) but what i really want, if i cant get homa, is a r5 DB. man :( arguably the best i can get for her as f2p (it even outdamages the jade spear)

Idk im low spender (primos when bonus is resetted and welking) i got hutao on my 3rd 10 pull without pity then decided to. Meme it and pull rest of my primos on weapon banner (4pulls) my first time ever pulling in weapon banner and got homa xddd
