The rig is perfect. Works like a charm. What type of bit did you use to make such a clean cut? I used a brand new bit on my router and I ended up with really rough edges.

If you have a look at Hyezmar’s design in his Woodworking Bible, you can get a great alternative design for this.

THank you so much! I work at a Mill Shop and I got the job by accident because the other millright had a slight table saw accident, (he no longer works at this type of job). I just got the order to cut a 8 foot table circle in 2 halves and have never done it before. Your video saved my ASS. I wish I would have had more wood experience when I started this job, but I did not know the difference between vg hemlock and Fir. Please make more videos for us wood challenged, moped experts. Thanks again. Randy RH DSD

Good video, your dust extraction a little like mine today making wagon wheels. I'm like you and make my jigs. I made up my wagon wheels and then roughly cut the outer circle with my jig saw. Then grabbed my festool router, stuck in onto a jig about the same as yours, 3 cuts and perfect. Thanks for your time and love your laid back style.
