That run through the tube has perhaps the best sound my GoPro's ever recorded.
ОтветитьI remember these in department stores when was young. I guess the cash registers didn't have a lot of money in them or the person was using a charge card which was all manually handled in the office. Each store had its own card.
ОтветитьWhen i was younger we used to go to a place where thw food was delivered by model trains.
ОтветитьNever have I felt more like Augustus Gloop
ОтветитьDo they have a tube-shaked milk-shake?
ОтветитьI worked in a building years ago where they had a dysfunctional old tube system which had the tubing partially sawn off and removed in places. My office had a sawn off section of pipe with one end going down into the company boardroom on the floor below. If I stood on a chair and put my ear to the open pipe, I got to listen in on board meetings and hear what the bosses thought of staff. It was never less than disappointing.
ОтветитьFuture rama theme starts
ОтветитьIn Prague, there is a bar that sends glasses of beverages to customers via a train set.
ОтветитьThanks for the ride
ОтветитьI love it when my food travels through Spacetime!

Ответитьthat seems like it would be a really fun waterpark ride if they upscaled it
ОтветитьStrangely enough those tubes are used in Ikea restaurants
ОтветитьWill they create this mechanic for the bank?
ОтветитьOk, you should be able to do that ride at the end with VR goggles, that would be cool.
Cool video.
In Kansas sometime lare 70s there was a drive up called Shuttes which they sent it, now i can barely remember them so idk if inside was the same, but you reminded me of that restaurant ❤😊

ОтветитьThe ending was fire!

Ответить5 second rule is for when it hits the ground, not the table, Tom.
Ответитьsure there may be quicker, cheaper and more modern methods of transporting items, but there's none as cool this
ОтветитьI know of the rollercoaster restaurant at Alton Towers, but haven't been yet.
ОтветитьIf the tubes were coloured in the right way, that GoPro footage would look like the Doctor Who title sequence!
ОтветитьIt’s crazy too me how such a long, rigid cylinder could make sharp, nearly 90 degree turns
ОтветитьThat is sweet but as someone who maintains machines for business, that's a lot of headache trying to fix things when it inevitably breaks.
Ответитьthe most chill cafe ever
ОтветитьHealth inspection are rubbing their hand.
ОтветитьSeems like a stupid gimmick to me
ОтветитьThat's exactly how I envisioned the future when I was younger! Pneumatic tubes zipping things around instantly. It's like a scene straight out of retro-futuristic sci-fi. So cool to see it in reality!
ОтветитьJust use conveyor belts, you simpletons
ОтветитьIn France supermarkets have them to send money. In most hospitals I've worked at in the UK they have them for sending samples or requests
They do often break tho
Old, food slime tubes, is not my idea of safe consumption.
ОтветитьI swear I've been to a park-and-dine with these things
ОтветитьDamn! Was there one year before the installed this System...
ОтветитьThe GoPro footage reminds me of the Stargate travel visual.
ОтветитьSaw these tubes once in CMC Hospital in ellore, Tamilnadu, India. still functional and recently installed in their new campus
ОтветитьAh, so that's how they filmed the wormhole scenes for stargate
ОтветитьI wanna ride in those tube
ОтветитьI think every hospital I have every worked in (in Belgium) has a pneumatic tube system, mainly for sending bloods and samples to the lab (otherwise you would need to do a lot of running!)
ОтветитьI absolutely love the sound of a Kiwi saying "wear and tear"
