Total number of 747's built, 1547. Total A 380's built, 251. Airbus got caught up in fuselage envy. Still an amazing piece of engineering!

I wonder what "cost cutting/ profit" based decisions will surface later on? "Secret" control software, door plugs without cotter pins or bolts... What next ? I will avoid Boeing on any air travel until a new culture takes place in the company and the execs stop getting huge bonuses while they cut safety inspectors.

Al Jazzera expo investigation documents how Dreamliner is a quality nightmare. Engineers fear this airplane and hold their breath on when the aircraft begin losing passengers in design shortcut accidents. Loss of competition is due to government FAA collusion to protect Boeing. Passengers only see the aesthetics and will pay with lives when failures begin. The flammability of composites showed itself recently in JAL runway collision where minor fire erupted to total conflagration once body began burning.

Boeing had it coming, loss of JAL (Japan Airlines) as the sole brand/supplier. JAL did not change brands at the time of flight 123 crash probably because the options at the time were limited. That crash is memorable to anyone having any interest in commercials jets.

Without competition we wouldn’t have very good aircraft. This competition is good but bad on the other hand blowing has made some huge mistakes lately and so is our government being led by a clown. This is why we have virtually no government inspections they get away with doing whatever they want, how about the door plug blowing out recently not even any bolts in the door how about that that’s insane it’s like somebody did that on purpose deliberately to help break Boeing possibly could be but we need inspections and rigid ones on aircraft especially aircraft he said Sarah says how there’s at least 100,000 people in this world that would like to be looking out the window with the snowcap Olympic mountains. Yeah, especially with the money he’s making. Lol

Amazing accomplishment. As a pilot of rhe 787, it's one of my favorite Boeings. Post trip recovery is night n day compared ro 767/777. Humidity n Pressure really help. It's also delightful quiet. Wish Boeing would have kept it in house for the build from the start They probably do to!

I took a flight on the Dreamliner early in its introduction, from LA to Houston. It was an amazing aircraft. But the computer glitches were scary. While taxiing and then as the plane was actually climbing into the sky, the pilot had to reset the computers a few times, and in the cabin this means computer screens and interior lighting would cycle through resets which was all kind of flickering of lights and screens. It was like a Disney light show. .. and I would still fly it any chance I can, airbus makes great planes, but the Dreamliner is just a great experience. If you go on vacation by Dreamliner, the vacation starts on the plane. All other planes just get you to the vacation spot.

Maybe instead of focusing on your past, you should focus on fixing the myriad of 737 Max and 787 quality control problems that make your aircraft unsafe to fly and indeed grounded. And move your HQ back to Seattle FFS. Chicago makes ZERO sense and merely serves to distance management from the very quality control issues that are destroying Boeing.
