I hate the mentality that if a boss isn't a duel or has a gimmick that makes it easy it makes it automatically a bad boss

The sir alonne runback is way easier than the blue smelter demon runback, because I figured out a path to avoid the knights and was able to strategise around the runback. But the blue smelter was the worst runback Ive ever seen. The slow cripples you so much no strategy will save you. Worse the lud and zolen, because all you have to do is memorise the direction to towards in the blizzard.

I freaking love bell gargoyles. Because those 2 mfuckers teach me so many things. I died and died again for almost 50 times. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game for 3times and finally beat them. At that moment i fell in love with ds1.

People shitting on usually hard bosses should understand that u judge by ur very 1st encounter, not after u beat it 10000000 times .

The Maneaters are probably the worst boss in any souls game. I love Demons Souls but god that fight sucks. The AI is terrible, they can one shot you by knocking you off the map, they randomly fly away, and even if you roll the lunge attack they still hit you. I always end up cheesing that fight because its more frustrating than fun.

Iron Golem deserves to be A tier because he introduces you to the chad that is Black Iron Tarkus.

but i disagree with his artorias take. i feel like MOST players when getting shit on a boss that is powering up, eventually would hit him instead of always running away. you dont need someone from outside to be like "hey dude try hitting him when hes buffing so you interrupt him". thats something you try and do when you're not playing like a god damn retard

Blue smelter is better than red and reds runback is more annoying if you do them right

Lets see bloodborne gets drastically easier after rom, ds1 gets drastically easier after golden duo, ds2 doesn't get that vastly easier unless your taking your time and do the harder ways first. Sekiro almost all hard bosses are late game, ds3 also almost all hard bosses are endgame, elden ring only early game is hard. Demons souls honestly gets harder as you progress

So can't agree that only early games are just getting easier the closer you are to the end

Currently playing DS1 after beating sekiro and elden ring. Out of the 3, DS1 bosses are the easiest (so far), but the areas in between the bosses are the most difficult. Sekiro had the hardest bosses, but very rewarding. Even though elden ring is the easiest of the 3 imo, it is one of the greatest games ever made.

THe point of Phalanx is to teach you though, it's an educational boss. Don't just wade in swinging like a dummy, remember to use items and oh, look at that the annoying boss is now super easy

Whenever they do a remake of dark souls 2...if given proper love and time to cook will be a great game

I do feel like some of the ds2 bosses should have had lore incorporated into their rankings like you did with ds1 bosses. A lot of the bosses in ds2 have fantastic lore.

Manus deserves S tier, black screen and all. His gameplay is just so much more advanced and fun than any other boss in the game, it's an insult to put him below so many other DS1 bosses.

The fact that Demon of Song never got moved down is so sad. No shot is Divine Dragon or Aldrich worse than Demon of Song.
