So many classic matches in the ‘82 Championships. Higgins/Mountjoy was tremendous - Higgins’ match ball green was an unbelievable shot!

Higgins/White was the best match that year. Would have been a great final.

Colour TV and Higgins both made snooker great but Jimmy White will always be my champion.

I was a young boy when this particular championship was on television I vaguely remember it Alex Higgins was an amazing snooker player Alex Higgins was the reason I started watching snooker I wish I could have met him so sad he's not here anymore god bless Alex Higgins what a legend
