How To Trim MP4 File Without Re-Encoding! (Super Quick)

HOW to cut parts in between ? Thats the problem I want to do exactly the oposite cut the medium and keep the rest

Works as expected, is fast, and doesn't result in a larger file (some files have insanely good compression). The key frame option is necessary, but it does make trimming the start of a file a bit hit-and-miss, and you may not get it exactly where you want, but hey it still great!

How can I use it? I opened the github and downloaded it but it doesn't have the files you have.

When i put the Program into Virustotal it says there's 1 malious file "Trojan.Heur!.02046823" is this a false positive? ik this video is 5 years old but might aswell comment just incase

Oh thanks, man! I really needed it. I don't know why I didn't find it before on VideoHelp website...

When you want to cut something down to the exact frame, however, the program unfortunately doesn't deliver. I rendered out a Proxy for 8 hours and had forgotten to trim 2 seconds and 14 frames off of the beginning, but whenever I tried to hit the exact frame, it exported two frames too many.

It says "Unsupported file" Wut to do??

oh btw some quick help for you, if you don't know why your recordings do the whitenoise in the background it's bcz of your soundcard try switching to usb and record like a 10 second clip to see if it still does it, or you could just get a new soundcard or board

What version are you using? I tried downloading the newest download for my Windows 10 PC and I cannot import any of my MP4 files. It keeps saying "you need to open a media file first". The version I loaded looks different from your video.

I tried this software and I get a different result. I tried cutting 5 minutes from a 2 hour video and it took about 5-10 minutes to finish giving me a message "Exporting".
It was not instant like it shows in the video

Yes, I am shouting. I am converting so many VHS tapes to digital and some of them are 2 hours of nothing. This program works wonders!

Does the program allow to export one videoclip from multiple ones without re-encoding? I have a Zoom meeting recording with screen share and the text is extremely readable despite the video's very low bitrate. The recording is split into 2 clips, so I wanted to append the second clip and trim the unnecessary parts, and then export it without re-encoding. Although the exported video file is three times as large, the quality loss is noticeable and makes the text difficult to read. I'm using Davinci Resolve 17.

Data rate went up in your case it might went down as well - reason is explorer shows average data rate for whole clip and trimmed portion will likely have different average. Important is, that none of original frames get altered, though.

WHAT A TOOL!! What this very nice brief tutorial doesn't cover is that you can make MULTIPLE cuts then either merge them together or create separate files per cut-segment. This means that if you have a crap bit in the middle you can just exclude it!!! Congratulations on an amazing tool, it has saved me HOURS of rendering when all I needed to do was cut-out a few minutes of rubbish in the middle of a video. Wow, wow, wow....wow.

Both this and Avidemux are only capable of cutting on what they automatically interpret as keyframes. What if I have a specific frame in mind where I want to cut and I don't want the software thinking it knows better than me where the cut should be?

i thought this was for mp4 audios ? i dragged my mp4 file into it and it says unsupported file

It works perfectly! I assume it works with the keyframes and deletes not very accurate if you want to have a result at some exact second of video,
but who cares if I need to just remove some voices of me and my girlfriend from the start of zoom working conference which I need to upload in the workchat lol
