Menu swapping is a NEW HIDDEN BROKEN OP PvP TECH

I dont know how to menu swap but i dont have anything against it. I dont get why people have a problem with it. Tried it a few times, more of a nessecity of situation ( like "i need this talisman on me right now or i am gonna die" ) than as a practiced skill...
Btw..is the "claw grip" absolutely nessecary for learning good menu swapping ? It seems to me that re-learning to play with different grip is ten times more difficult than practicing swaping as fast as possible the way i play now...

I would never menu swap! I only use one weapon lol
Shouldn't have to be said, but for gamers, menu swapping is inevitable as it is a showcase of their knowledge and familiarity with the game.

It was kind of cheating in ds3 with moveset swap, why are they complaining now lol

menu swapping is extremely viable and can give you an edge in pvp. imho its useful in PvE. being able to save yourself with a ring swap or quit out from a fall or a bad situation

That was a great video uncovering some of the obsecure things like lower recovery after crouch, or stepping after parry that lowers recovery for swapping too

Love it I'm gonna start organizing my menu and practice! The only people that have a problem with , most likely cant do it themselves!

Okay, challenge...how do you optimally set up KEYBOARD and MOUSE weapon swaps.
w/a/s/d is movement, but arrow keys is menu navigation...No joke I am asking for what to bind etc...NOT going to go to controller. I have a multi button mouse, and actually want to get into menu swapping for fun. I loooooove this game.

You know how I deal with people bitching about menu swaps?

I just get multiple copies of the same weapon, then I swap them. At best you can only tell I’ve swapped due to my stance going from two handed too one.

It doesn’t break the “immersion” and you look as if you’re a proper fighter with more then one ash. lol

You are talking about instant answers to any situation and instant counter to any build, yet you make a fixation on the skill it takes.

my favorite argument against swaps is that its not realistic or "breaks immersion", as if they were fully immersed in a hyper realistic world where you can pull a 7 foot tall sword or giant slab of stone out of your pocket

Can someone pls explaine to me what this menu swapping is. Where are all the other weapons? Did he sell them all? Like where are they and how do u get ur menu so organized

Imagine if you couldn’t carry 2,000lbs of gear in your inventory and could change your gear only if you are at a grace. You’d have to focus on the build you made instead of using the most meta setup for one type of player, then swapping to another some a different player. Why don’t they let caster change spells on the fly like this too? Maybe spells should cost stamina instead of fp AND stamina. We’d see more caster builds instead of stead pokers and bleeders. Pvp is just weird in this game.

Menu swapping is advance tech been playing souls games for over a decade 3k hours total now in the series and I've never mastered it the way you do it. It's very advanced and not everyone will be able to do it properly.

Menus should be locked during invasion.

The real problem we have with swapping is you don't pick any sort of build, you use multiple weapons and switch them for the benefits without the weight penalty and without making a choice and figuring out how to make it work.
Most of us have to choose a couple weapons or be overweight
I respect the skill it takes to swap like that but it's cheap and there should be a class for it
This coming from someone who NEVER uses rob or the "meta" gear

It baffles me that ppl ACTUALLY believe it to b a “glitch” and EZ… wow.. haha, I’ve been playing since DkS2 and menu swapping has always been a thing. It’s honestly one of the main skills that I believe everyone should at least b competent enough to walk around while swapping talisman/armor/weapons. Just funny how ppl complain about this 🤣

Only reason I learned to do menu swapping is because I got tired of having to build extra endurance just for bigger weapons.

Most every modern action rpg that has a weight-class system and has weapon swapping (2+ equippable slots) exempts weapons from the weight, or only takes into account your actively held weapon for your total weight. It's just Souls that doesn't. They really should.

It's not really fair that a strength build NEEDS to build more endurance for comparable results to a dex build. The balancing should be in their movesets/damage output, not in the weight of the weapon limiting your stat distribution

Curious how you hold the controller to hold B constantly while menu swapping, I'm using xbox 360 controller but feel like I to contort my fingers in odd positions to pull it off.

Thank you for teaching me this bro i now use it all the time. I also love using multiples of the same weapon with different ashes because they dont see you swapping the weapon and it throws them off when you pull off a different ash with the "same" weapon. Plus all of them are in the same row if you use weapon type sorting, super easy to swap

People who dont like menu swapping are low skill complainers tbh. I suck at menuing in these games but i still do it because having a diverse moveset is way more fun and interesting than l2 gaming

The menu lockout system balances hard swapping pretty well. If the developers didn't intend this to be used, you would only be able to swap weapons at bonfires (like with spells).
