From that point onward China has been stealing technology from the West and the West has been building China's manufacturing sector. Now the entire world is paying the price of an aggressive Communist China under the authoritarian rule of their psychopathic leader Xi. Yes I think the democracies of the world CAN and WILL stop China by moving their manufacturing and money out of China to safe democracies and with escalating trade barriers. The west does NOT need China, China needs the west.
India, Mexico, Philippines and other eager democracies will be the benefactors of this necessary shift in policy.

The Chinese people are hard working (although this is changing quickly) and as intelligent as everyone else BUT they are brainwashed and led by a Psychopath. From the 1950s to the late 1970s, Chinese students were not allowed to attend university in Europe and the Americas except in socials studies. We need to go back to this rule until China becomes a democracy.

China has developed a 5 NM semiconductor without the use of a EVU lithography machine and is working on building a 3 NM and a 1 NM chip after that it becomes quantum and China is leading the world in the field of Quantum computing and physics.
China has already made a 7nm semiconductor to rival Apple and its better and Huawei is making a comeback, the West tries to supress and contain China and it gave them no choice but to research and develop and make their own.
The West thought China was decades behind the West, China has made itself self sufficient and soon will be 100% self sufficient and sanctions free and then helping many other countries to do the same to make it a fairer multipolar world without the U.S. dollar and hegemony, watch as the West falls and East rise, everyone around the world is suffering because of the U.S.

The new Huwaei 60 pro with it's "7nm" chip has turned out to be garbage and unreliable. In China, Huawei stores are mostly empty while there are long lines at Apple stores for the iPhone 15.

Now China's sanctioned companies can send their own produced chips to Russia.

China makes a lot of claims, but it's recenty come to light that much of their miltary hardware is deficient...

The problem is that this is just a shitty Chinese copy of a Kirin chip from 2018. This is the absolute maximum they can manufacture with the UAV lithography machines the U.S. allows China to have. They aren't allowed to have DUV machines to make better chips. There was also only achieved 50% acceptable quality chips with their manufacturing process. That's clearly not a sustainable manufacturing process. It must cost them way too much to manufacture the chips. That's probably why the Mate 60 costs as much as a new iphone but uses a 2018 chip.😂
