I hope you start shipping to more European countries soon.. would really love to buy a framework
ОтветитьBought my Framework 13 a little over a month ago. I absolutely love it and hope to keep it forever!
ОтветитьDisplay really needs to be improved. How is 60hz acceptable? That's my problem with Framework. I really want to buy one, but they are just behind regular laptops. If they were comparable, I would buy one in a heartbeat.
ОтветитьIt's too expensive, can't justify buying it.
ОтветитьFor enterprise this is an amazing product, after a couple of years you don't have to change a whole fleet of devices you just upgrade them for probably 50-70% of the price of new products, something like that cannot be done anytime before with a laptop.
And some day, Framework Android Phone... this will be wild, especially if there will be cooperation with grapheneOS or eOS so de-googled android.
Framework laptops are the BEST for you and the planet - outstanding devices !!
ОтветитьAti Sundar Pichai
ОтветитьNo way this is sustainable lol.
ОтветитьLiterally no one asked for this.
Ответитьwas just introduced to this yesterday from my computer repair tech who is 1000% into framework. I love this concept and am ordering my frame work laptop. So tired of shoddy manufacturing. My HP laptop hinges broke and now its useless to use and need a new computer.was looking at Best buy for macs and Pcs and after seeing the framework computers I am a believer
ОтветитьThere should make a tablet case for there laptops. Would be cool to even have more powerful boards with 16 core amd laptop processor (think its the 7950x3d) and provide beefer enclosure.
ОтветитьDiscovered this channel today. Excellent content. Keep it coming :)
ОтветитьMy next laptop is gonna be a framework.
ОтветитьSnapdragon version coming?
ОтветитьPlease create something like this for schools so we can get rid of chromebooks. We could just upgrade instead of throwing away.
ОтветитьHave you guys unlocked the advanced bios like MSI, xmg, eluktronics, etc. have or is it still locked? Because thats useful for increasing performance on intel machines and also bypassing dynamic boost via IMON tweak and for having full control.
You can't make the upgradable gpu's and cpu's a thing until the chip makers actually make it viable on laptops. And thats the main thing people want to upgrade. Because we are getting more and more artificially nerfed laptop gpu's now.
And gaming laptops, particularly clevo/tong fang laptops have been doing what framework has been doing largely with upgradability and repairability. Going as far as to give you upgradable cpu's and gpu's with the mxm cards. Other gaming laptops from other brands also did the same. Infact, gaming laptops are still doing that as much as they can for the cheapest price possible. Just buy one of those and send companies the clear message you want repairable and upgradable devices.
Repairable and upgradable devices won't succeed until chip makers actually make upgrading worthwhile and that will only happen when we go back to desktop gpu's in laptops as standard like during gtx 1000 and rtx 2000 AND nvidia lets OEM's crank up the power on high end gpu's. Otherwise, framework will just remain a niche.
I love my 13 inch. I got it halfway through college when my MacBook died on me mid semester and I couldn’t fix it. It was a 2018 pro and SSD blew up.
I loved it so much I gave it to my brother when he started college, and he loves it. He ordered some modules that made more sense to him, but he could do that.
Great video! Thank you!
ОтветитьThis is a fantastic idea. I'm not ready to buy a new laptop yet, but I would definitely put this at the top of my list to consider for my next machine. If this catches on and sales start bleeding from companies like Microsoft and Apple, it might eventually force them to stop locking people out of their own computers and allow them to repair and upgrade them, you know, like it used to be.
ОтветитьNext steps: modular phone, modular printer, modular buds
ОтветитьI like how they’re still using those deconstructed frameworks from the Next Level Event as little displays on the office wall
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьI love my Framework laptop 13! I bought the first model with the Intel chip and just upgraded it to the Ryzen CPU with more RAM. It's so cool to get a faster computer without actually paying for a whole new computer.
Ответитьif the components of this laptop grow obsolete, and you replace each component one by one until no one component is original, does this remain the identical laptop?
Ответитьmantap 👍👍
ОтветитьThey need to make the laptop screen a detachable tablet.
Take everything out of the bottom and put it behind the screen (which should be touchscreen), and treat the bottom like a disconnectable dock.
Give it its own battery, GPU, and ports. Basically like a Surface Pro on steroids, that’s repairable.
That would be the perfect device!
Lets add a thinkpad classic keyboard and should be perfect
ОтветитьWaiting on the 14"
ОтветитьI mean this will never sell to average consumers. You have to be INTO computers to get something like this. But if you are that kind of enthusiast, why would you ever get a laptop when you can build a PC?
ОтветитьUntil economic incentives actually exist for companies to innovate in this direction, they will have to compete with “dirty” companies.
ОтветитьPlease please make them available in india
India is the biggest audience who would rather have something broken be fixed multiple times instead of buying a new one, same with upgrading , my next laptop will be from framework if available in india
Hyper modular devices = cheaper devices over time = great = LEGO set
ОтветитьI would like to see a framework phone running Android
ОтветитьGet out of san francisco and you'll be able to lower your prices immediately. Go to colorado and you'll have just as good engineeirs. I will absolutely buy a framework for my next laptop but you guys are shooting Yourselves in the foot.
ОтветитьDOING GODS WORK BRO DONT STOP!!!!
ОтветитьS3 COVERING FRAMEWORK WOOOO
I remember when Louis Rossman covered the company a little bit years ago, and now you!
awesome hardware.
also not pricey compared to other comparable laptops, that are e-Waste.
but they still use insydeH2O firmware, I wish for coreboot adaption.
a workaround would be the Framework Chromebook, which has a had keyboard which doesnt seem to be replaceable, and is currently out of stock.
"High Performance"
Ответитьno full black color?
Ответитьframework are really cool, thinkpad fanboy here!
ОтветитьThis is really cool. I'll definitely look into this if I need to upgrade my laptop.
ОтветитьI love your spicy pillow
Ответитьits way more expensive then a prebuilt laptop. All internal components are proprietary. If you upgrade one thing, most likely you will need to upgrade the rest. Only thing that can last is the screen itself if its a good screen.
I don't see the point of this. I would expect this to be cheaper.
It's a cool concept, I can understand why it would exist, more options are always good.
Personally, I would never buy this, don't know anyone else that would either.
What a badass ceo. He’s got a high dex build fs
Ответитьi dont understand what you are saying or the language you are speaking. can you do a vid speaking plain english for we non tech folks who love this idea you have? gravy sakes alive!
ОтветитьA company run by engineers for end-users and not like most companies run by billionaires for profit.
ОтветитьProprietary and planned obsolescence should be illegal. Power back to the people.
ОтветитьSomebody please make an oled screen
ОтветитьGet the DAC, external speakers, and the display to MacBook Pro level, and we might have the perfect laptop. I still might get a framework laptop even without those 3 things but if it had those 3 things, I would be sold instantly.
Ответить
