Nitchezer and Dostoevsky books are really difficult to grasp the main courses
ОтветитьGlad it’s not just me… haha
ОтветитьWhere did you get that wig bro I’d love to have one
ОтветитьCrime and punishment 😵💫😭🤣
Ответитьi started crime and punishment at the end of sixth grade and have been an avid reader of his novels since then 100% my top 5 favorite authors (top three?)
ОтветитьOh my God, l am as a Russian can’t understand all the language of Dostoevsky.
But when you read crime and punishment when you are 14 at school something breaks inside you))
I stayed up whole night, I read about 400 pages of brothers karamazov and its really good
ОтветитьWhen the doubt hits you “maybe I’m just not smart enough”😢😢
ОтветитьDoes anyone know the ability of fyodor?
ОтветитьI don't mea mean to brag but I read TBK in a month and a half ❤❤
ОтветитьThat’s me right now with Brothers Karamazov 😅
ОтветитьJoyce is difficult...
ОтветитьTo me, Tolstoy is much more smooth and elegant. The old smooth aristocrat. Dostoyevsky on the other hand sometimes kind of chaotic. Like a madman at times. The sheer force, passion... Tolstoy much more composed most of the time, Dosto more wild in a way. But brilliant both in their own way. Both of them treat their characters with such care and deep love, their humanity just radiates from those pages...
Ответитьprobably milking many will reveal a secret, but even many Russians do not understand Dostoevsky. Yes, they do not understand the ideas, but the language is also difficult to understand. Those are artistic means. And how foreigners read it..... I don't understand. And you are great if you read such literature (like Tolstoy and Ostrovsky and etc)
ОтветитьI don't find his writing super difficult but the NAMES are so confusing
ОтветитьWHAT IS THE SOUND😂
ОтветитьI despise rakitin
ОтветитьMe 😂
Ответитьme when I read a russian novel..... your name is Alexei... it's now alex... your name is Aloysha... it's now Aly... your name is Mikhail... it's now michael.... Lizaveta is now Liz
ОтветитьWait till you see war and peace
ОтветитьI don't know why you guys think that Dostoyevsky's novels are hard to read. But when I start with Brothers Karamazov, i was literally spend 8 days reading it non-stop. It was so captivating and there are tons of moments that i must stop for a bit and said 'Damn, shit hits the fan real quick' 😂.
I read the book in Vietnamese, so my English is quite bad, sorry 😅
Bsd fans be like:
ОтветитьI'm reading crime and punishment. Isn't that hard to understand, but any Dostoievski's book need, anad deserve, to be read more than one time
ОтветитьDon't wanna seem ,,different" or anything but why even people say Dostoevsky's books are hard to read.Just plots are messy sometimes contains hard words and lot of places but it is not even that hard.
Every book will be hard at this point if u have just started reading and my advice would be there is no need to check up the list what to read first and what to read next as a levels.
Just start with whatever you want and only thing u need to do id read it thoughtfully and slowly to analyze.
What exactly is hard about reading Dostoevsky? He's notoirously someone recommended to read in highschool....
ОтветитьThe average american will have difficulty understanding the message in his books, such as Crime and Punishment. However it's not hard to read and comprehend the plots
ОтветитьReading Dostoevsky for the first time can be challenging for some people. So it should be kept in mind which book you start reading him with. I read Humiliated and Insulted, a comparatively less known book, at the age of 15, and I think it's a great place to begin.
ОтветитьHe's a bit mess when it comes to writing but his philosophy are greater than any other author's. Man has suffered hell and then has written the masterpieces
ОтветитьI read the penguin books versions. Not difficult at all.
Ответитьcringe
ОтветитьIf you try Joyce or pynchon, you will rather swear by Dostovsky's clarity!
Ответитьrussians: killing and committing genocide against Ukrainians, bombing civilians and destroying every peace of the Ukrainian land they can
Westerns: reading russins books and praying to their “greatness” 🥰🫦🤩😍🫠
Finished crime and punishment and the idiot, currently reading brother's karamazov chapter the grand inquisitor.
ОтветитьActually its one of the most easy books to read, dont flex it dude
ОтветитьSecond half of the book You are used to him.
ОтветитьGreat video, however in my opinion Marmeladov is not someone who chooses to live the ‘for me’ lifestyle but instead an example of man’s inability to trump even the basest of instincts despite all reasoning and logic having been applied. He knew what he was doing was wrong. He was genuinely remorseful. But he was human and therefore limited, reason or otherwise.
ОтветитьHilarious 😂
ОтветитьLiterally what characterized C&P in days was its quite simple prose (in Russian) and use of slang, common words. I think the difficulty for many readers comes with the deep themes and length.
Ответитьi loved crime and punishment but i’ve had so much trouble getting into the idiot. which i’m very disappointed about
ОтветитьMost of them are not that difficult of a read. But the stories and messages are deep, which is what you rarely find in western litterature
Ответить😁😁
ОтветитьMe who's been reading C&P and Nietzsche's BGE for far too long in the abyss:
Haha ... Leaves go brrrrr
You should make part 2 of the video after reading them and present your thoughts
Ответитьit took me 8 months to read one of his books I was inconsistent but you'll get there and eventually, you can genuinely enjoy his work.
ОтветитьYou start to feel the way you think change when you read books like this
ОтветитьThe vocab and Lucile reading level actually isn’t challenging at all. Some Doctor Suess books have a higher lexile. With that being said even though the words are simple, understanding them is a lot more difficult.
ОтветитьJust finished Idiot yesterday, that was AWESOME!
Ответить😅😅😅😅
ОтветитьInteresting... Im a beginner, and his writing flows and the language he uses is perfect
ОтветитьYou can try look for better translations, I find some extremely weird and difficult (especially the old ones) and others more natural and easy to understand
Ответить
