How Do I Afford LEGO?

This is why people who love collecting or have special hobbies (like me) need to know about business! It's hard but I'm trying to learn little by little too.

i expected this to be a guide to lego alternatives like webrick and other ways to get stuff on a budget but it's a just a millennial being able to buy a house

It has become a nightly routine to listen to people talking about Legos to fall asleep, I never thought that I’d love this story so much to be able to fall asleep knowing that this inspirational story exists.

I just buy what I want and have only recently gotten into Lego now the kids are at Lego age but I think I've bought about 80 sets this year lol

So interesting and I'm not even a Lego person. Love hearing about the creative things people can do with hard work!!

I am super spoiled to have a job this summer with NO expenses so half goes to saving, purchases are rounded up to go to a portfolio, the rest is mine

I just started collecting. When i want something i work OT to buy. And i bet safe in draftkings, if i win something, thats what i use. Lets just say i dont have a lot in my collection 😂

I am an award-winning artist, songwriter, musician, author, award-winning journalist and voice over actor. I am 70 and in perfect health with a good energy level. I still work full-time for the family printing business, sending e-mails to prospective and established customers. But I wanted to see what's entailed in developing an income stream from a You Tube channel. I do not want to work full time forever if I can establish a side income, so perhaps I only have to work 20 hours a week for the print business. I work from home - so that's a nice arrangement. I do still have every single Pokémon card from my childhood, every single one from 1999 to today.
I have all my Lego sets aswell most of the Lego you could buy in the 90s with manuals & few boxes..

Don't really collect it myself only buy the occassional lego star wars set to please my inner child but id imagine the same way people afford warhammer gaming or some similarlly expensive hobby.. Start with employment. Have real money coming in, Save money where you can with common sense economics not buying the most expensive brands all the time, Turn the lights off when you leave a room dont leave plugs and devices switched on.. mabye dont buy a brand new car but one thats in good condition and reliable ect ect. Also dont buy sets you only half like. Buy stuff that your really excited for.
Not just for lego, or hobbies but for life also.
Obviously having a professional high paying job will help too. But alot of people who leave comments saying they cant afford lego/warhammer/games/whatever arent even doing these basic things.
A job and working out are also massively beneficial to your mental health too vast majority of the time.
