The Real Deal of 2D Software: Cartoon Animator 5

This was a terrible video for an introduction for 2D animation software.
While I understand you are mesmerized by new features to speed up animation, many of them look cheap. What I wanted to know is
1. Does Cartoon Animator support 'onion screens' for inbetweening?
2. Does Cartoon Animator support multiple layers?
3. Does Cartoon Animator have tools for drawing straight lines?

Does this support exporting to Gif or Sprite sheet for game development?

would be possible to animating 8 direction in a isometric view?

I've owned this software for over two months now, and I haven't been able to import a single graphic file successfully. SVG files keep coming in all black (RGB color palette). So far only works with their graphics. In fact, every tutorial video I've found has only used animator's graphics. I would not recommend it!

Do we have to create an entire animation with just Cartoon Animator (plus Ps or Illustrator or similar), or just parts of it? Can we use After Effects also?

you took forever to start talking about the software

For 2d animation it is absolutely great but The grease pencil animation of blender has one big advantage that we can draw over 3d model directly which is a huge advantage because you dont have to imagine something staring at 2d canvas. Also we can convert any edges of 3d model directly to grease pencil. It feels working in 3d even while doing 2d animation and with time it will be updated with blender development. Sooner or later will be combine with the procedural system of blender geometry nodes so i will stick to grease pencil until i have to dedicately do 2d animation which will require to learn it from scratch. Please collaborate with blenderguru for these comparisons as he know blender and 2d painting very well and can give more insight on this.

How does this compare to moho and adobe animator?

Cartoon Animator 5 has an extremely big learning curve plus you must have additional knowledge of third party software.

Because your video is sponsored so it does not tell a clear picture of the software. I would say the software is still under kind of beta testing. it's not for any professional work. only if you want to have some fun. so it looks more like a promo video. Don't get me wrong but. I just want to educate people as I have also used the software. if someone has money 40usd per month then adobe suite is best. the CONS are huge in this software I would say to public use always try the free trial before buying it. I already have cta 4 and used it for the last 2-3 years. it's not so good. I wish someday they release proper industry-level software instead of too much promo. Maybe you guys should release an unbiased video. this video does not tell anything.. except the clips from their promos. Maybe someday.. cta 10 will be good.. waiting for that.
