I dont think he thought it was a flash but it kinda fucked with him he was probably temporarily confused by the move and started over thinking while simple already decided his play and with his aimbot like accuracy got the pick up. While his opponent was still wondering if he was gunna sneak through the smoked door after throwing the most expensive distraction ever he got caught off gaurd for a single second and his brain went into overdrive trying to re route his game plan like a gps slowing his reaction time enough to get crapped on like it was a German brothel

In my opinion the play is kind of overrated. Nitro didn't even react to seeing the awp and simple just got a good lucky shot instantly on his head. In any situation nitro would have died because the shots instantly got him as simple came around the corner.
