Thanks mate from Canada, just left the Pro-Tools domain after three decades, sick of the "Carrot dangle" I just started on Logic, watched your Live Workshop, spot on.
I've been hunting the internet and you sir get my vote
Cheers Wes
Jono GOD BLESS YOU. This video just saved my life. Needed to barely move things around. You are a legend.
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you. By the way, "Old School" used to be razor blade on tape with a chinagraph pencil and edit block. Would that now be considered "ancient" or "classic" perhaps? The greatest impact of computers has been the ability to easily try something and undo it, from word processors to audio/video editing. It's so liberating to not worry about making a mistake!
ОтветитьOh man! Awesome! I’m actually moving over to Logic on an M1 Mac from an Intel Mac that I ran my daw of choice for the past 20 years (Acid Pro via bootcamp) and all these little editing options I was afraid of relearning you totally lifted a veil off of! Incredible! Thank you so much for sharing!
Ответитьgroove templates ae a hit and miss proposition
ОтветитьThanks for all the tips and tricks
ОтветитьJust wanna say, for any newcomers out there... I moved to Ableton (couldn't get into LPX's workflow - no DAW war intended). And let me tell you, once you find this channel there's no going back. You might as well give up now and acknowledge there's no other channel. Doesn't matter how many times you change DAWs, you will back here. Learning. Forever.
ОтветитьTouche - might be to esoteric for the channel but maybe in a future episode might you walk through the particulars of model, connectivity, Logic configuration and any middleware/software glueing it altogether? Really nice bit of kit.
Ответить💪🏻👏🏻👍🏻
ОтветитьHere from the start! Brilliant channel keep up the great work! Thanks!
Ответитьwhat do you use to show the key presses on the screen?
ОтветитьWhen I do old school audio editing, I often wear a pith helmet and feather boa. I find it makes things sound so much more analog, thicc, resonant and saturated.
No! Back off raptor babies . .aaaaahahahahahahahahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!
Many congratulations on 100 vids, Jono! Here's to the next 100. 🍻
ОтветитьCongratulations, Maestro! Health and gratitude to you!
ОтветитьGood stuff! Worth a watch just to learn the keystrokes.
ОтветитьGood on ya Jono. Thank you, as always.
ОтветитьWhen doing this kind of editing, I often use two tracks (A/B), as that allows me to use fade-ins and fade-outs instead of crossfades, which affords even more control over the transitions.
ОтветитьI had the luck of working in a studio for 6 months, with tapes, on a beautiful Studer (A800?). It was a pain but musically times were way better 😉
Ответитьtop-notch 🤍
ОтветитьHi Jono. This is me, as usual, first, your most loyal fan. 😊
