The Long Dark is one of my favourite games. The story and realistic setting works for me.
ОтветитьThanks for the time stamps
ОтветитьMinecraft, ark, subnautica 1 & 2, no mans sky
ОтветитьAtmosphereeeeeeeee. Corridooooooooor. Speak like a normal human being please
ОтветитьI love Green hell on the PC and so I thought I get it on the switch head it may not look as good but it's still good only downfall is that the people whom creepy jar gave it to, to put on the switch have not updated the game since it's came out and it is way far behind then the PC, we don't even have leaders yet that's how far behind we are, Now I don't know if creepy jar have been giving them things to update and they have just not been doing it or this is all we are meant to get on the switch no ones really answered when I have asked about it.
so yeah if you want the new tree houses and spirits of Amazonia don't get the switch game because I feel like it won't be getting any of the new updates, but if you are happy with just the base game go right ahead it is still fun to play.
I would say I like half my money back (as i do like the game it just a let down on what we really get) as I paid about £25 for the Switch game, when the PC is only £20 and has way more but it been years now so no point lol,
Can't decide between astroneer or no man's sky...
ОтветитьProps for shouting out This War of Mine
Ответитьbro where are you from
ОтветитьGreen hell is 90% off so it’s 2.40 in stead of 27.99
ОтветитьI struggle to find a survival game that can even hold a flame to The Long Dark
I seriously cannot wait for the new DLC to get released on switch! 🇨🇦
No man's sky visuals are horrible and it runs like hell on switch
ОтветитьNo Man's Sky and Subnautica are my most favorite survival games.
ОтветитьI think you should have mentioned Rain World
ОтветитьDarkwood is one of those which looks great thematically, but I'm not into survival and rouglikes so I keep skipping it.
ОтветитьMy personal favorite is subnautica
ОтветитьPlease give me more filters on the e-shop. I would love if the e-shop had an option to not show games you own
ОтветитьOk I have ALOT of survival games fallout, the forest and sons of the forest, green hell, minecraft, stranded deep, subnautica, no man’s sky, grounded, terraria
ОтветитьThe flame in the flood & Don’t Starve gave been languishing in my backlog for a minute now 😂 I gotta get into them but I fear I’m also adding Smoke & sacrifice to Astroneer to the backlog too 🤦🏽♀️
ОтветитьThis is a great list! Gonna have to check some out!
ОтветитьExcellent list, thank you! Some I have, some I have heard of, and some I haven’t even heard of before! Awesome. Survival games are pretty cool. Especially the easier ones or when you can lower down the difficulty. I especially like how some of them allow you to really tweak the game to how you want it. Subnautica, for example, was really impressive because you can turn off the oxygen meter, the health meter, hell you could even just turn off story and it’s not a different mode or anything it’s just that all of the story markers and story just disappears lol. More games should do that. imagine full customization.
ОтветитьI enjoyed sailing around in Windbound, had exciting times sailing down the rivers in The Flame & the Flood though, Darkwood gave me anxiety attacks that I couldn't progress much, if any. But the one I have enjoyed the most even when being anxious is Sunless Sea.
ОтветитьI wish I could play no man’s sky, but you c add my invert both axis so sadly it’s a no go for me
ОтветитьLove these games. NMS is just amazing and is a must-own. It’s soooooo cheap for hundreds of hours of gameplay..
ОтветитьThank you for not including minecraft, never liked that game.
ОтветитьMy top picks would be Minecraft and The Flame in the Flood. Don't Starve would probably be my next choice from this list.
ОтветитьNot a genre of game I have ever played. Probably because my kids try to force me to play Minecraft
ОтветитьGreen hell is a really fun game. Its such a shame that it doesn't seem like its ever going to be updated on switch
ОтветитьI think Green Hell is a bit too high on the list considering its an incomplete mess that has been abandoned by the creators on switch and the publishers are radio silent. Its had one update and that was to add bananas! still missing all dlc and basic base game elements, Its basically the new Ark on switch (before its redemption). I could not advise you to avoid this on switch any more!
ОтветитьI only had one on this list…. But you made me add a few to my wishlist. And I think I’ll be picking up Subnautica soon. I keep coming back to it. 🤔
ОтветитьBought darkwood in a previous sale, wanted to enjoy it but it’s such a b’stard of a game!
ОтветитьI have this war of mine from when it was on sale because you mentioned it on the switch corner, best game I have on the switch.
ОтветитьWindbound is great, I can't reccomend green hell because the controls are so clunky. I've yet to try ark I have it and my daughter plays but I've not got space on my memory card at the minute lol.
ОтветитьOne of my favorite genres, will eventually get No Man Sky
ОтветитьHas anyone played Starsand? Looks okay as a first person survival like Subnautica and Breathedge.
ОтветитьGreat list Alex! Mine are 1. Don’t Starve 2. Subnautica 3. Green Hell 4. Terraria and 5. Long Dark. I do want to give Ark a try =]
ОтветитьKeep the lists coming; these are great!
ОтветитьTerraria is easily top 5. Would love to see rust on the switch one day
ОтветитьHaven’t really played much of this genre outside of Minecraft, but it’s definitely a great game.
Ответитьnice. flame in the flood wishlisted! i need that fallout dog to accompany me
ОтветитьHaven't played No Man's Sky on Switch (yet) but it's one of my favourite games, the developers deserve so much respect.
ОтветитьThe only ones I own right now is don't starve and this war of mine. I've been meaning to get one of the first person ones but just never got around to it.
ОтветитьMy top survival are No Man Sky, Ark, Green Hell, This War Of Mine and the one that introduced me to the genera the Subnautica franchise wich will always be my number one for showing me the amazing world of survival
Ответитьdefinitely a little biased cuz I bought a switch to play the Long Dark (after my laptop fell out of spec after an update), flame and the flood worked for a while but the loop lost novelty, green hell I come back to every now and again (but havent made it too far) survivalists was worth a decent 20 hours of plinking for me. Bought this war of mine on sale a while back, maybe I'll dig into it. Thanks for the video
ОтветитьNot played any of these but there is a few I will have to try out
ОтветитьDarkwood, The Long Dark, and This War of Mine rounds out my top 3. Green Hell is close, but it is better on other consoles. I avoided including all the survival horror and zombie games, felt they belonged in a different list.
ОтветитьAlien isolation
ОтветитьNo Man's Sky is amazing, and well deseving of that number one spot. I have over 500 hours in the Switch port alone, plus more on other platforms, though I only play on Switch nowadays. I'm someone who enjoys both the relaxed exploration and survival aspects of the game. I actually have separate files for each. My main file is set to "normal" mode and used primarily for chill exploration. On it, I've completed all the story missions and now spend my time looking for a perfect Earth like planet, mining, doing Nexus missions, fully upgrading cool new ships, and just generally relaxing. My secondary file is where I'm doing an "Iron Man Challenge," which means all settings turned to the highest difficulty, permadeath enabled, forcing myself not to use the starter ship or anything in it, and not leaving the first system until I've completely maxed out my inventory slots. I won't lie - I died in under five minutes on my first Iron Man attempt - but am well into my second attempt and loving the added challenge for days when I crave that sort of thing.
Tl;dr: No Man's Sky is a game that can be played any way the player wants to play it. It can be the coziest of cozy games with unlimited resources and zero damage taken, the hardest of survival games with the game auto-deleting your save file upon death, or literally anything in between those two extremes. It's the closest thing to a perfect game I've ever seen. And as my playtime shows, I'm completely hooked.
Hmmm. Maybe is should get No Man's Sky someday.
