ОтветитьA month ago, I starter drinking a bottle of coke everyday after a 6 months of diet. Then I started to think I should stop drinking coke everyday, and I brought a pack of coke, but I didn't drink then. I think that's the so-called dopamine fasting process.

ОтветитьWhat in this video I disagree about: that fasting from Dopamine is in any way going to lead one to happiness or any form of satisfaction. It will ONLY make us more able to become more sensitive to Dopamine.
What contribution you DID make to the topic: you are RIGHT that Dopamine as a instantaneous neurotransmitter is VERY quickly followed by a desire for more of it or a sudden feeling that you lack it.

ОтветитьOh wow haha "urge surfing" is something I recently started without realising. For me, it is just a case of not reacting immediately, thinking and reflecting, then respond. I became confused around my emotions and motivations in reactions to environmental stimuli, so thought best is don't act for a while and see what happens in the brain. But I call it "pausing"

ОтветитьI love this video, but I have a tendency to reach out for bubble tea when stress hits and I need a sugar fix, I tried other fruits based drinks or any other natural sugar sweetness diet but nothing brought about the relief that bubble tea can.

ОтветитьI've got the Freedom App which has really helped and also going on meditation retreats are an automatic way to dopamine fast as often they'll ask you to switch your phone off for the duration of the retreat.
ОтветитьI masturbate everyday before sleeping. The trigger is the hour (around 10pm), the reward is better sleep quality. If I don't do it I always have difficulties sleeping. Is this a bad behavior or addiction?

The reason why people feel hollow on the inside after masturbating alone doesn't actually have much to do with dopamine. The reason for the hollow feeling is because your idea of what you desire in that moment is an orgasm, but once you achieve the orgasm you feel hollow inside because what you actually desired was an intimate romantic connection with the person you fancy, but you're not with that person, you're just sitting there by yourself, all alone, perhaps wondering why you're feeling so hollow.
If you don't believe me, try masturabating with a partner that you're deeply attracted to, and see if you feel hollow after you orgasm... I bet you won't. You can also feel hollow after having sex with someone you don't really fancy (just meaningless sex for the sake of having sex), when in reality you wished you could've shared that moment with someone else. Ever heard of the "walk of shame"?, that's what that is.
I disgree with the idea of looking at explicit pics and restraining one's self. The superior stratagy is to see others as children of God and learn to treat them with dignity and pray for those who don't act as such.
