ОтветитьIf you're using the fastest DDR5 kit wouldn't it be better to also use the fastest DDR4 kit? I am running 4000 14-15-15-28 and for example.
ОтветитьI got this BEAAST! so happy with it!
ОтветитьFinal analysis was great...honestly felt like he was leaning towards the Intel the entire time...when the 5950x was clearly still holding it's own at 7nm..
ОтветитьI'm considering upgrading because of possible issues with gen3 pci hampering my performance if I got the rtx 4000 series whenever that comes out
ОтветитьWhen i first build a pc in 2010 Intel was beating AMD axx. now i am back to build new pc and Intel 12th gen still beating AMD axx. Seems like i will stay with Intel forever 😅
ОтветитьHmm.. this is tempting but i just got a 9900k gifted to me.
ОтветитьI9 will prove to be the best processors in the future.
Ответитьhow tried an air purifier for your hay fever?
Ответитьso an air cooler won’t be enough for it? :(
Ответитьglad i skipped the 11900k for the 12900k, I went from a 6700k to 12900k and i'm sure i'm set for 7+ years! xD at least i hope lol
Ответить5950X is a way better purchase
ОтветитьI told u INTEL is not dead :)
ОтветитьVery glad to see Alder Lake perform so well, this is what I've been waiting for from Intel. For the record I own and use a 5900X.
ОтветитьI would like to see them both on Ddr5 😂🔥🔥😂
ОтветитьShould I get the 12900K or the 5900x if I'm playing at 1440p with an RTX 3080 ti? (I often lower the settings because I want higher FPS) And I play a lot of shooting games like Battlefield V, CSGO and Valorant.
ОтветитьHey maybe u know why mine i9 12900k for 2 weeks were at 60c when playing games.. and then suddenly temp rised by a lot, up to 92 even.. Now always spiking non stop between 70 and 90 plus... while gaming ofc. normal?... Seems something was damaged.. like mobo or cpu itself, coz temps cannot start to rise like this randomly after stable 60c, for daaays.
Ответитьjust got my 12900k, put on a voltage negative offset of about .050 volts. Dropped my temps about 10-15C. Went from 250watt power draw to 220w. Cinebench score stayed pretty much the same. I can drop quite a bit of volts from stock and not lose much performance. Explains why people aren't getting a lot of overclock potential from stock settings these days from both Intel and AMD, because they're pretty much near max overclocked from factory. Good for lazy people like me
ОтветитьNot really when w motherboard for a 12900k is £200 cheapest, plus ddr5 ram...
Ответитьlol intel is running hot af
Ответитьpower consumption of intel sucks intel is doing what amd was doing with bulldozer now .. man how times have changed .. imagine if amd released processors with that high power consumption intel will be thrown out of the park
Ответитьcompetition = customer wins ..
Ответитьyou are the best
ОтветитьBUY only DDR5 for future Rapture Lake . DDR5 will dominate on the exact same MB. Than we have inflation that is not going away so long as democrats in power. These people are not very smart.
ОтветитьDDR5 will have better CL than anything you have and that's the difference you don't see
Ответитьnv 3090 should have been used
ОтветитьWin10 ??
ОтветитьWhat’s the difference between 12900K and 12900KF?
ОтветитьLooks like I might be getting that 5600x after all! Drive those AMD prices down, Intel!!!
ОтветитьSo your saying to have an intel toaster performance 1 to 3 percent higher performance more expensive CPU with more expansive ddr5 and 690 motherboards there top tier expensive . great cat wait till the 6000 series AMD cpu's come out intel will suffer greatly behind again .
ОтветитьGiven the prices of Intel motherboards and the additional cooling required, it's far from clear that AMD must cut its prices. It's really just a question whether they want to take more market share or gather cash. The more we learn about 12000 the less appealing it is. And it comes in the middle of AMD generations, so the speed comparison is not entirely fair. It will only be a short time before that small lead is erased by the next brood of AMD processors, probably at much lower power levels.
ОтветитьWith how RAM is being developed, it looks like what they're doing is just making latency worse so they can increase frequency and sell it as "a new tech" just to drive prices up.
Minor detail of attention is the ever so increasing difference between an older and a new version, where one app may favor frequency and the other latency... Hence why the gap (jump) between results where DDR5 may perform worse.
i think next gen Zen takes throne back :)
ОтветитьMan, i really wanted the i9 12900k but that power draw... my room gets hot enough as it is.
ОтветитьAll of you fanboys fighting over who is king, doesn't matter as long as they continue to compete. What does matter is GPU pricing, midrange gpu's $600, high end $2000 and up, now that's crap.
ОтветитьWhile the performance is impressive, the power draw, cooling requirements and early adopter premiums for Z690 boards and especially DDR5, the i9 remains something I would never recommend or buy unless all you're doing is benchmarking.
THe i7 and i5 offerings seem much more attractive, but again, for a clean slate build I'd wait rather than build right now.
All of it is a bit irrelevant unless you have a decent GPU though.
I disagree with the video thumpnail!
An overclocked 5950x with quality DDR4 RAM using anything near the same power level as 12900k would still totally beat the 12900k at the same power level DDR5 or not!
I would still like lower prices BTW, just dont belive that AMD needs to do that.
still waiting for Z690 motherboard VRM test tho
ОтветитьJust waiting for the "intel>gAyMD" or equivalent comments now as intel gang vengeance.
ОтветитьHello, what about the Warthunder impressive difference between ryzen and core i9?
ОтветитьTHANKS INTEL NOW PRICE OF AMD CHIP IS FINALLY CLOSE THE MRP WE NEED PRICE DROP AFTER ALL THIS MADNESS OVERPRICED MARKET
ОтветитьMy amd platform recently kicked the bucket. So i guess I’m going back to intel.
Ответитьmore MMORPGs to the test. They are heavily CPU bound usually
Ответить1) Let's pretend we're talking about a CPU and not a PLATFORM. That's why the comparison between the 12600K ($289 MSRP) NO COOLER vs. 5600X ($299 MSRP) W/COOLER keeps being made. It's not like you have to buy a whole new PLATFORM for 12600K.
2) Let's pretend we're not comparing a 10 core/16 thread cpu (12600K) to a 6 core/12 thread cpu (5600X).
3) Let's pretend that it's not a more realistic comparison between a 12600K and a 5800X since it's 16 thread to 16 thread with a similar PLATFORM cost. Remember that CPU is only one component.
4) Let's pretend that the 12600K doesn't draw more power than both the 5600X AND the 5800X.
5) Let's pretend the upgrade path from a 12600K to a hypothetical 13900K is going to be better and less power hungry than an upgrade from a 5600X/5800X to a 16 core/32 thread Ryzen W/V-CACHE.
Pretend is so fun. Let's pretend Intel "is back". Seriously, look at the whole picture people. Intel threw out efficiency to compete.
Gentlemen, dont be fooled by averages when considering metrics, averages are not reflective of real world usage, consider 1% low (99th ptile) as the metric. The graph shown in the F1 slide misleads people into thinking that averages are what's important.
ОтветитьWhy the hell is everybody reviewing in 1080P? Who is still playing at that Res with modern (this) hardware???
ОтветитьLove the video! Looks like another year with my 9700k as I don't see the prices making it worth switching for a very long time. Is it possible to change the background colors on the graphs to a charcoal color? The white background is rather bright.
ОтветитьUnless you are blind and ignorant, what i clearly saw from the benchmarks is that when using the same memory in true multi-threaded programs Core i9 12900K is only as good as Ryzen 9 3950X. Cinebench is the only exception and it is shit anyway. Ryzen 9 3950X is still way faster in compression, decompression and blender. And Blender IS THE MOST IMPORTANT program out of all, since it is not synthetic and used by many people to MAKE MONEY in real life. Sure, when it comes to single threaded stuff like Adobe programs, the Core i9 12900K is the champ.
ОтветитьDid you use the same cooler on the Ryzen system?
Ответить
