Correction, when a VFR flight enters class B airspace they must get permission to enter and they essentially become IFR, because they are under control of ATC. Either the copter didn’t get permission, or ATC didn’t give specific instructions to turn away, which they normally do. They don’t simply ask if aircraft is in sight

After one roll, the second roll (by then the craft slowed down) was prevented by the second, still attached wing. the slow landing sped with passengers upside down, were prevented from serious injury because they were suspended from above. The airport (ground) staff should thank their stars, that even the accident proceeded smoothly, like circus item in old days.

I heard that CRJ wings are not design to detach in case of extrem impact... this is simply physics... any material submitted to extrem impact will broke apart.
