Did the center ever start to collapse or will it stay sturdy i plan on putting two 32 inch moniters on a setup almost identical. But am afriad that it wont hold.

This looks great and all. But, I'm getting sick of the Ikea catalog setups. They all look the same to me. But, to each his own. If you like it, that's all the matters. To me, I don't like the riser not matching your butcher block desk. But like I said, my opinion means nothing. You definitely put some work into it. Although, I think you need to move those speakers down off the riser. Having them like that, you lose some of the sound by having it behind your monitor. I know that's knit-picky type stuff though. Anyway, other than the keyboard, I think it's a very nice setup. I like the controlled chaos look myself. As long as cable management is done well. You did great cable management.

Guy is a rat the way he tries to sneak in the logitech sponsorship, and saying you need to immediately seal the butcher board makes no sense because it's meant to be food safe. The plastic wrap would not prevent it from warping if it was going to, which it's not going to, and if you've ever been to home depot and seen them you'd know the wrap on them is broken 100 percent of the time.

high density Leds are the only way to truly avoid hot spots as I understand it. Look into it, they are a huge improvement, especially if one is sensitive to hot spots.

Why 2 monitors just doesn't make sense these days, get a 49in ultra wide. I got one and there amazing.

Do you have to coat the underside to prevent warping? Or just the top and sides

That docking station is so gonna fall down, after a few winter/summer cycles. Heating/cooling of the adhesive will eventually cause it to fail :(

holy these alex drawers are expensive now, they said "on average 20% increase in price in Canada blah blah blah, but $150 for a single alex drawer now? OUCH, that's gonna cost me all said and done $800 for table top and 2 cheaply made ikea drawers here in Canada😵

Your butcher block from Home Depot. It fit perfectly on top of the drawers? I’m looking at the dimensions. The Alex drawers say they are 27.5” and the butcher block is 25”. Was this the case for you and how did you account for the difference?

Hello~ How do you make the big clock on the screen?

I know this video is over a year old, but I still love the style and look of your setup, here. I have watched the latest one, but I still like this minimalist style.

I just bought the wood to make my new desk. I also just bought the MX Keys and the MX Master 3S. Before that, I upgraded my monitor (from dual 24" to a single curved ultrawide 32"). I have the monitor mounted on the wall, but I still need to run the cables in the wall. I'll wait on that until I get the new desk built since it will be out of the way and I can get to that wall much easier. I'm also mounting my USB hub and a couple other things to the underside of the desk, similar to what you did.

The desk I'm building will have cable management built into it, too. I hate seeing cables, so I made sure to add that to the design.

Will the middle of the desk need support with a leg?
