I didn't see anybody mention it in the comments, so for anyone interested this song was written about Marc Moreland, who's also a musician. He was an amazing guitarist in the band Wall Of Voodoo, providing a unique sound, I highly recommend checking it out. He unfortunately passed away in 2002 from liver failure.

Every single time I've heard this song, it's brought tears to my eyes. This song was written from real life. Had to listen again 1/11/24, still makes me cry. Lost my Joey 5 years ago...an amazing drummer and incredibly loving man to all who knew him. We both loved this song for her heartfelt honesty about addiction, and forgiveness. You can hear the emotion in her voice. RIP Joey Grillo.

This song is 34 years old, and it still devastates me when I hear it.

First time I seen the video despite knowing and loving the song for 30+ years. And I have to say this video is a colossal disappointment. So low budget and unimpressive. Just no creativity at all. The song deserves a much, much better video.

My dad and I were working on my room in the basement with the radio playing and I heard the song " Last Kiss" for the very first time and my dad started singing it. From that day on, Last Kiss was my song. Everytime I went to see him play with any band he played with, he sang Last Kiss for me. The original. Not the one that Pearl Jam mutilated. ❤❤ I miss my dad so very much even though he passed away in 2008. Now I lost my mom on March 13th of 2023. That was the day after my dad's birthday. Now I feel alone but the music helps me to get through the days. ❤
