F1 Livery Design - Chain Bear explains

Came here after the grid changed and the cars look a bit alike each other. Currently in the 2023 season, and this "paint weight" has become a problem. Most teams have adopted darker matte paints and those who didn't well... they have a lot of carbon and black accents.

Just want to say that's a problem in F1. Can't quite distinguish the cars and the grid is looking very bland and boring. For example, Aston Martin has a beautiful green color only downsized by their awfull black and carbon details that break the uniqueness of Alonso's car. Long are the days of gold rimmed, green painted Jaguars

I miss that Renault livery. The 2021 alpine was nice, the 2022 is horrible, but the last Renault liveries were fantastic.

Why do they not use vynil wrap?

You just gave me the answer to a question i was asking myself quite often: why do the mechanics always polish the cars with a cloth in the garage. I thought they did it when the camera was around to give the impression of being constantly at work even when there wasn't anything to do.

Just realised, why was LaLiga on the Renault? Is Lionel Messi gonna paneka one from 50 yards away straight into the cockpit? Idk why there's a football sponsor on an F1 car, not sure what profit that'd create

Not mentioning the BAR's with their different left / right livery? This was a milestone, and never seen afterwards.

Advertising in general has became pointless for over 50% of customers now. Because when i walk into the grocery store and see wonder bread i think of nascar i still grab the cheapest bread or in most cases the healthiest. The same can be said for almost all food, tabaco, anything i dont need a huge quality boost in. However movies and video games still need to advertise as someone is coming to specifically buy that certain product and theres nothing else like it usually. Gtav for example made a billion dollars overall. When i bought it i knew i was coming to the store for that exact reason thus the advertising worked for that.... i think if all these companies took a hard look at spending 100 million dollars on advertising vs knocking 2 dollars of their products theyd find a huge ammount of people would rather buy the cheapest product. Bloated advertising budgets lead to higher pricers on products and services. Thus people tend to go with the cheaper brands. For example if i see a new paper towel on tv that does amazing things 9 times out of 10 i know theres an off brand that worls 99% as well and is 75% the price...

I remember the 2000 cars that I had in a computer game, that year the cars were so colorful
