Touch screens in cars are stupid. It has to be knobs and buttons, because your attention needs to be on the road, not the STUPID SCREEN. That's why nature gave us the ability to feel with the fingers. i mean... what about a touch screen steering wheel!!??

The new Mitsubishi Outlander:
An impressive 86% "reliability" and "quality" rate by "JD POWER"
An amazing "resale value" of 47% after 5 year of ownership by "CAR EDGE"
Very safe car with 11 airbags
Best power train warranty in the segment
Great job Mitsubishi 👏 👍 👌

Test drove both and I think the RVR offers better value for money with lower trim levels.

2021 RVR SE AWC 2.4L:
+ 10 year warranty
+ LED headlights on all trim levels
+ Supportive seats
+ Comfortable ride
+ Quiet, smooth engine
+ Excellent brake pedal feel
+ Simple, practical interior
+ Good visibility / large side mirrors
+/- Handles like a truck / excessive body roll
+/- No auto start/stop
+/- Sensitive gas pedal
- Not well insulated from exterior
- Somewhat vague steering feel
- Cheap materials (e.g. turn signal stalk, buttons, etc.)

2021 Crosstrek Limited:
+ Safety tech
+ Handles like a car / less body roll
+ Good gas pedal feel
+ High quality interior
+ Simple but modern infotainment
+/- Firm ride
+/- Responsive steering (maybe too eager)
- Sticky brake pedal feel (might have just been the demo car)
- Clunky auto start/stop with shuddering
- Annoying safety reminders (e.g. "car ahead of you has moved")
- LED headlights only on higher trim levels

We are a small family of three and we have been offered 0% interest on demo model fully loaded highest trim of Mitsubishi RVR 2021, clocked 3000kms, we stay in eastern most canada with stormy winter conditions. Should we go for this model or go for RAV4? People in the USA have been suggesting me to dump the deal as mitsubishi apparently lacks in after sales support. I really need a strong advice here!!

I want to like the RVR (outlander sport in US) but the roofline in the back is terrible. I'm about 6ft tall and I can't see out the back because the roof slopes so low in the back. I don't have this problem as badly in my Mirage.

I prefer the Outlander full size it has better value. Mitsubishi is a given with 10 years warranty and BEST security in class with 7 air bags

Also you should really compare the Subaru Crosstrek max price 41k
with the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross max price 38k

$10,000 in accessories? I hope I didn't hear that right it's just hard to imagine you'd spend another 30 to 40% over the original cost of the vehicle for accessories. You don't need navigation when you have a cell phone. I always like these reviews that never cover the quality of the sound system, the maintenance requirements and costs. You can buy the Mitsubishi for about $5,000 less than the Subaru in the US and it has by far a better warranty and less complex engine design.

Nobody cares anymore about factory Nav because most new cars come with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay...including the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport (RVR). Plus, you failed to mention that the Mitsubishi warranty blows away the Subaru. The latter is why I just purchased the Outlander Sport.

I would love to see you guys compare the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL vs Subaru CrossTrek Limited. I recently just drove a new Outlander Sport (ASX) while my Eclipse Cross was getting worked on and it is a huge difference between the two. We owned a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport GT AWC (ASX) that we bought new and kept for 3 years and loved it. But when we bought both our new Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross SEL’s with Touring Package and
S-AWC wow what a difference. I know they ride on the same platform but its a huge difference.

Some things the Eclipse Cross top trim we got has and or does better is: dual pane panoramic roof and the front opens, heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, sliding and reclining rear seats, radar cruise control, power driver seat, nicer leather, nicer audio set up with touch pad, 9 speaker 710 watt rockford fosgate audio system, updated gauge cluster and a better center screen with more info, nice heads up display, electronic parking break, turbo power (1.5L 4 cyl 152 hrsp 184 ft lbs torque) with more torque than the Outlander Sport/ASX (2.4L 4 cyl 168 hrsp 167 ft lbs torque) much nicer gear shift, much much nicer interior materials, the doors are much more heavy and solid sounding when shutting them, seats are much more comfortable and shaped with better foam, amazing 360 degree camera with button on steering wheel to change around the view, adjustable led headlights (2020 ASX/Outlander Sport headlights can no longer be adjusted like pre 2020 models) much quieter and more refined ride, less wind noise, better programming for the CVT with step shifts to feel more like an automatic, much less fidgety steering ad just an overall more refined vehicle. I could go on lol.

I know the Crosstrek is an amazing vehicle and I really like them alot and actually considered one but the rear styling on the Eclipse Cross sold me plus it had more features that I liked and wanted like the dual sunroof, heated rear seats with recline and slide function, neat heads up display that opens and closes when car turns on and off, and others. Also to be clear I love the Outlander Sport/ASX they are a great rugged lil vehicle and proven to be super reliable with their time tested powertrains and sell like crazy in Australia. We loved our fully loaded one the 3 years we had it and not 1 issue. They run on an older platform (from like 2010 as a 2011 model) and for some people thats ok. It feels older and more like an old school suv but has a great AWD system and is time tested and proven. Also I love the orange color and I like the styling on the 2020 Outlander Sport/ASX better than the Eclipse Cross front styling. The rear styling is sharp too with the new tail lights but the rear of the Eclipse Cross I absolutely love and is what sold me even though its not for everyone with its funky looks.

But I would love to see you guys compare the Crosstrek and Eclipse Cross that would be interesting.

The RVR ( FWD 100% in the front ) ( AWC is 50/50 ) then the locking differential is 30% in the front 70% in the back 🤨

This is kinda misleading.....Mitsubishi only offers AWD on the top line model only...all other RVR options are front wheel drive...subaru is standard AWD. So if you want AWD but not paying for premium pricing your only real choice is Subie. I have no clue why Mitsubishi would put up a self barrier like that when it can just offer AWD on all its model, it's not like RVR is trying to be Mazda which also only offers AWD in top tier models but Mazda can justify with better quality overall. I dont even see RVRs on the streets that often. Just piss poor decisions

Worth taking note is that the rvr has port fuel injection compared to all crosstreks since 2018ish that are now direct injection. Gdi causes carbon buildup on the intake valve which has to be cleaned every so often. Rvr intake valve keeps itself clean from the gas air mixture going over it. Mitsubishi eclipse is both direct and port injection this cures the carbon buildup head ache....
