VMWare: How to Ping another virtual machine

LOL. So stupid.

hi, i have a virtual machine pc set up for a cacti server (ubuntu distro), i can ping the cacti server from my windows pc , but from ubuntu to pc the ping doesn't go through. The virtual machine is set up as bridge, do you have some input on how i can solve this connectivity issue? . The cacti (ubuntu machine) is on the same network as my windows pc.
