What still bugs with the St johns is the dinner scene. You can see that Danny has his rifle besides him but Lee doesnt even think about grabbing the rifle once he has proof against the St Johns.

One of my favorite things about replaying this game was finding out which QTEs you can fail yet still keep the story going.

My personal favorites are in the final chapter.

In Lee's final trek to save Clem by going through the horde, you're able to fail a few QTEs that honestly feels more dramatic. Lee gets bitten even more but since he's already turning, he just shrugs off the damage and keeps on going.

And in the struggle against the stranger, if you fail the QTE to strangle him, he'll turn around and strangle Lee to near death, but before Lee passes out, Clem will shoot the stranger in the head to save Lee. Definitely more dramatic to me.

I loved the missable things, though few they are.

I'm 15 minutes in.
Is 90% of this just gonna be a recap of the story?

This ending was the first game to make me weep like a baby. Watching my brother play it at first was what caused me to to start reading the comics and watching the TV show. Love this game,

Bro. That last gasp Lees lets out when you shoot him. 😢😢😢😢. Goddam it! People say that was the moment where Lees voice actor broke down crying. And i believe it. Such a cruel and RAW death scene. Loved it. 😂😢😅

After all this time finally playing all the way through this game, it still is just as well written and executed as the day it came out.
There really aren't that many games in my mind that hit me the way this one did, besides LISA: The Painful.
Really wished there were more game narratives just as intense as this game's.

The four twd games from telltale are my favorite games of all time. All of them make me laugh, cry (and with that i mean serious crying), makes me angry, frustrated, sad and shocked. The emotional connection i have with all the characters (except the assholes) is just insane for characters who never existed in real life.

You also tend to use a lot of "either or" statements when you describe things, it's fine sometimes, but it's best to find other ways to articulate a sentence when doing longform content.

One tip when creating videos: if you can skip the intro to a video and still understand what it's about, then the intro doesn't need to be there.

Intros are for complicated subjects that need a preface to understand it, it's good to put things in laymans terms when needed but the subject matter is something people who'd watch this video would understand.

Man, that episode 3. What a downer! Carley dies. Katja dies. Duck dies. My Lee and Kenny got into a fist fight. 🤕
Honestly, I was so bummed out I didn't even care about the new people joining our group. I just wanted to leave with Clem and be done with groups from here on out. 🚷

I loved this kind of video of you going through the game giving a review on the actions, choices and overall plot of the story. I hope you do this for the other seasons, even though they're not as strong as season one. Also for the ending I teared up, as it was so sad. When I played the game for the first time, when I was at that part, I was balling my eyes out. I was crying a fountain of tears with each step, clem took, knowing lee was going to die. I've never cried so much of characters from a story, but playing as Clem as lee instructions her how to get the key cried more tears with each step.

this game really shaped me as a child. when watching pewdiepie's playthrough back in 2012/13 (i would have been 11 or 12), it was the first story game i'd ever seen, and the first time a game had ever made me cry. since then, i've always been finding joy in watching people's visceral reactions to things. it really made me fall in love with other story games, like life is strange and detroit: become human. i'll never forget what it did for me and how it helped me, an autistic person, develop my emotions and social skills. nowadays, i LOVE watching people play through the game - it's one of my comfort things. i love having it on in the background while im playing cosy games, stuff like that.

personally my headcanon for why everyone is infected is an airborne pathogen spread from the bloodshed and rotting going on. kinda like spores, but being a more passive infection that only affects the body post-mortam. when i played the game originally that’s kind of what i came up with, since i had watched a few seasons of the show and when a character who was injured spilled their blood in the water supply and people were turning just from the exposure of their blood. not sure if that made sense, but it makes sense to me :)

having viewed and played this game multiple times over the years from my early teens into adulthood, it really has become a comfort in some way and gets better every time i've played it with new worldly perspective. it will always be a classic to me, even if some people think it's just a movie where you push buttons sometimes. the only really weak portion for me is s3, and i can at least respect the attempt to branch out with a newer cast of characters.

After Lee gets bit, who joins him on his quest for Clem is actually only down to one decisioneach. With Christa and Omid, they go if you show the bite, and won’t if you don’t. Ben will do whatever you tell him.

Kenny on the other hand is weird. The entire game a bunch of actions, such as (but not limited to) saving Duck over Shane, helping him kill Larry, and helping him put duck down each give a certain number of points. Above a threshold, he can be convinced. Above another threshold, and he’ll go no matter what. But not enough points and kenny will refuse. It’s the most unique events in all 4 seasons, because no other character has a point system like this, it’s only A —> B for the impact of your decisions. I can’t remember the value or all of the events for Kenny’s points but I’m sure you can find it online.
