Pokémon Journeys: THE FINAL REVIEW.

Pokemon Journeys was truly the Pokemon anime saga of all time

I agree that Pokémon Journeys as a whole is a mixed bag the show in my opinion gets better toward the end but unfortunately the really boring episode leading up to the climax drag down the series along with the enjoyable but still disappointing final two episodes.

These are the changes I'd make to Pokémon Journeys.

1. Ash would reunite & travel with his Pigeot again much earlier in the series near the beginning of Pokémon Journeys.

2. Chloe would travel alongside Ash & Goh seeing their determination in accomplishing their goal would give her the idea to travel the world with them so she can find her own inspiration in what she wants to do with her life

3. Ash, Goh & Chloe would spend a certain amount of episodes I'm thinking somewhere between 5-10 episodes in each region while being accompanied by some of Ash's past companions in each region they visit. In Kanto Brock, Misty & Tracy, in Johto Cilan, in Hoenn Serena, May & Max, in Sinnoh Dawn, in Unova Iris, in Kalos Clemont & Bonnie, in Alola Mallow, Lana, Sophocles & Kiawe, in Galar Ash, Goh & Chloe would get one more permanent companion in Hop and the four of them would eventually meet up with Lillie, Gladion & Lusamine in Galar for two episodes.

4. Ash wouldn't catch any new Pokémon he'd use a different team of 5 Pokémon in each region and for the masters 8 he'd switch his team in each match and when he fights Leon he would use his six strongest Pokémon and for his rematch agaisnt Leon all of Ash's past companions would show up in person and watch Ash battle in the crowd as a surprise alongside Professor Oak, Delia and Mr. Mime and after Ash's win they'd all throw him a party where team rocket would show up try to take Pikachu and everyone there would have each of their Pokémon use an attack to save Pikachu and blast off Team Rocket.

5. Team Rocket would get all their past Pokémon back near the beginning of the series including Arbok & Weezing. They'd also visit some of their past Pokémon like Jame's Cacnea & Chimeco, Jessies Dustox and others like Mimikyu & Bewear.

6. Goh's goal would simply be to catch Mew and he'd no longer catch every Pokémon he sees.

7. Ash would battle Ritchie, Casey, Harrison, Cameron, Trip & Sawyer to move up in the world coronation series. In Pokémon Journeys when Ash battles Iris in Unova he would lose and then rematch her in the masters 8. Tobias would be one of Ash's last battles before the masters 8 & Alain would be Ash's final battle before the masters 8 and his Greninja would finally beat Alains Charizard. Raihan would be Ash's first match in the master 8. Iris would battle Lance in the masters 8 and win and in their 2nd round Ash would battle Iris and win.

8. Iris would stay and cheer on Ash for the remainder of the Tournament.

9. We would actually meet Ash's Dad at some point in the series.

10. Team Rocket would get an open ended resolution. After they meet Butch & Cassidy in the middle of the series in the Sinnoh region Jessie, James & Meowth would be surprised to learn Butch & Cassidy left Team Rocket and are making a living for themselves doing honest work. Butch & Cassidy would ask Team Rocket if they ever get tired of doing the same things every day and revolving their entire lives around someone else's and constantly failing. Throughout the series we'd see Team Rocket question their goals and near the end of the series they decide to stop following Ash leave Team Rocket & travel the world together a trio to find their purpose.

I don't think this was bad send off i mean he's leaving anime as a main character doesn't mean his journey is over he can be shown in reference or as side character or many more ways and winning the biggest fight of his life is just enough to be honest. Those 11episodes was to show that how much ash has grown and how much he still has to grow of course with constant bond with pikachu so if look at it that way rather than what we want our way it's still a good series other than those annoying recap etc.

I don't really watch pokemon anymore it isn't the same without him😔

What if Chloe actually was a companion for Ash and Goh. Have her at first try to join the World Coronation Series with Ash and when it doesn’t pan out for her, have her try Goh’s thing and when it doesn’t pan out for her, she decides to choose her own path to becoming a coordinator. Also have her catch more Pokémon than just Eevee

Sadly, we'll never see Ash's dad in the anime.

I think Journeys is Good, but I wouldn't call it great, as it did made so many Weird and Questionable Choices and they never took full advantage of the World Adventure Concept. Despite the Flaws, It still has a lot of good moments that prevent it from being terrible.

The real problem is after years of watching Ash go from rookie all the way to World Champion I doubt anyone is going to give Liko and Roy a fair chance, but I plan to watch every episode of Horizons before I make any real judgements.

If ash is not here in the anime we will still celebrate ash Ketchum day

I loved Pokémon Journeys! It may not be the best series, but I just liked it!

One of my favorite things about this series was the chemistry between Ash and Goh. Sure they had opposite personalities, but I couldn’t get over how most people hated Goh due to his way of catching Pokemon.

I do think Galar got shafted a little not having Ash catch a full team of Galar mons, and not showing off all the Galar characters from the games

They NEVER CONFIRMED WHY EEVEE copied moves did it have the move copycat?!? Is the reason stones don’t work on it because it’s a GMax eevee? WE WILL NEVER KNOW!!!!

Yeah I did hate how the earlier Ranks didn’t show ALL of Ash’s battles

I Think Sun And Moon Had Cringe Openings But Was Better.

One of my biggest issues is the fact that Ash’s Pokémon in journeys got a few episodes of development and then were shafted unless they needed to battle. Except Lucario, and Pikachu of course. Like Dragonite, it was his first catch! Then it got like two main battles before doing nothing until getting swept by Rihan and his Flygon.

Once Pokémon horizontal it over I hope can take about it but is going to be a long time for that series over

Jessie catches Chewtle, but unlike Morpeko, Chewtle is thrown into the f*cking Gotcha machine. 😞

So... even if ultimately the series was quite subpar in terms of writing and structure, I gotta break the ice and ask:
What did you think of the soundtrack, Zac? Many fans say that Journeys excelled at least in amazing music tracks.
Seems like after Shinji Miyazaki left, the shounen music master Yuki Hayashi was a great choice.
I myself really like the more intense and cinematic battle music of this series.😁
