ОтветитьI totally agree with the 18mm lug width. BUT I’m finally figuring out where to get the 18mm spring bar with a 20mm + strap. The Casio world timer straps, like from Vario gets a wider strap on an 18mm lug width watch. I have a freebie rubber one from Strapco. Didn’t realize it was for a digital watch. Fits perfect!
Ответить$250 for a quartz chrono isn't much of a deal. Plenty of ST19s at half that price, and they're mechanical...
ОтветитьI’ve heard reviewers complain of the 24hr subdial for the right register of a vK64. Is there an alternative option for this register or are watch companies forced to go with it? What would you suggest be there?
ОтветитьWhen will we see the end of the ridiculous VK64 mechaquartz movement? No running seconds, useless 24-hr dial, and worst of all, 60-min elapsed register that you can’t read. Meanwhile the Ronda 5130.D has the perfectly legible 30-min register and running seconds. Microbrands are infatuated with the Seiko VK, but it makes an inauthentic chronograph that’s just all show.
ОтветитьThats a good price tho 👌
ОтветитьPerfect for small wrist, beautiful execution,I'm very impressive with this Vintage inspired chronograph...solar would sell for me,I'm suckered for a good chronograph, great looking time..piece, alway from St George Utah thanks again...until next time. Peace.
ОтветитьWe support American watches! 🇺🇸
ОтветитьNice video, nice watch, good little history lesson too.
ОтветитьDefinitely not the best for the price. Oh, and by the way, unsubscribe.
ОтветитьNice looking.
ОтветитьThey've nailed the vintage vibes here. Beautiful dial, and the shape and colour of the hands work perfectly with it.
Looks great on that nato strap.
Overall a very well executed piece.
Great review Kieron, cheers 👍
Reissues / homages of this style started +10-years ago with the Precista (UK based TimeFactors) PRS—5 so it’s not new to reissue this style.
I’m not a fan of the yellow lume fill. A cream to compliment the numerals would have been my preferred choice.
I'm absolutely on team sapphire. I know scratches on acrylic crystals can be buffed out, but this is something I don't really want to deal with because an acrylic watch simply is too high-maintenance in that respect. On the other hand, there are really beautiful high q😢sapphire crystals around, even when you look at affordable watches from brands like Baltany.
ОтветитьNice review. ❤ I agree with all you said. Wish more microbrand use movement with running seconds instead of this Seiko movement.
ОтветитьIf you like vintage inspired chronographs or any vintage inspired watch for affordable pricing you should check out Dan Henry, I have 3 of his watches and I have to say they are really good quality and value.
ОтветитьGreat review and a good watch. I like the U.S. assembly but not sure I can get over the mineral glass and 18mm lugs. Plus that movement leaves me a little disappointed as well. All that being said, $250 ain't a bad price for that one. Thanks!
ОтветитьI have to say top tier ticker...you seem to have a ponchant for aluminium bezel, mineral glass 2 dail mechaquartz chronographs. It's a nice accurate and reliable movement, but the loss of the second hnad dial at 6 oclock and the "almost useless" 24 hour dial on the 3 oclock spot really underwhelmes me in terms of function. Sugess make a nearmy identical watch for less, with saffire crystal and a far more exquist ST1901 MECHANICAL movement, which features 2 dials that are actually useful.
ОтветитьAgreed Kieron! Excellent watch for the money. Lovely design.
