Want to get this game. But idk if I should get it digital for $30 or physical for $60 it’s hard to find use cheap copy

People like myself would rather have 720p-1080p 60fps ports of the original PS2 trilogy on Switch with some minor QoL improvements like a checkpoint system, a pause map on GTAIII, maybe even a couple of graphical sliders turned up here and there like extended draw distance. But nope. Rockstar and Grove Street Games want to instead give Switch owners these stuttery, all-over-the-place looking blurry mess of a buffet that not only run worse, but visually looks worser than the originals. Mainly because of the games' original art direction built for the RenderWare engine clashing with these newer more modern graphical FXs of Unreal Engine 4.

But all of these issues pretty much boils down to the team and publisher who did an absolutely bad job on the whole ordeal behind the scenes. If you want an overall better, more faithful looking experience of the "Definitive" trilogy, go play the recently released port of the DE trilogy on either Android or iOS. From the looks of it these versions are a lot more fixed up, ported by a more competent studio, and there's an option to turn on "Classic Lighting". Which mimics the exaggerated lighting style of the original PS2 for each GTA games while also retaining the bones and assets of UE4. So you pretty much get the best of both worlds. Only thing that's still missing are some licensed music on the radio. Which Rockstar will NEVER pay for because they're a small indie company that doesn't have a cash printing online game that makes millions of billions every year.

Regardless of how well it runs, the game must have sold decent numbers for them to make solid port of Red Dead 1 for the Switch, considering before this trilogy, all they had on the Switch was LA Noir, I'm gonna assume this probably sold fairly well on the Switch.

Should i get only gta 3 and vice city?

The on issue I ever had with the game was the rain in GTA 3 other then that y’all complain too much

Killing it in the name department Josh lol. To give some constructive criticism, while clear and well spoken you sound flat or robotic when reading your script. About halfway through I thought about leaving cause of it. The intro and outro sounded incredibly natural as it was just us hearing you speak natively. Adding some small personal notes might help, maybe saying what your favorite loadout or car was in GTA 3 and you compare how it looks with the updates now, or showing what it looked like on original hardware as a comparison. To use Gman or minimie as examples, they both would let you know when something was there favorite and how it felt in the remake/sequel/etc.

You also had some long pauses that broke the flow, It's very subtle but you notice it after a bit. Trimming that down might shave some time off but adding the personal notes will help makeup that and more.

Overall it's a good video, those little adjustments will help make the script sound less like a script and more like hearing someone speak excitedly about something.

The Vice City game is not on the physical release so they lied to ppl about it & there is a forced "PATCH" (Full game download) that you need to get in order to play VC.

I have yet to see any early release before the patch that shows Vice City is on the physical playable with the bugs etc so to me the game is not fixed 😂.

Somethings I've noticed is when you're drive a vehicle fast, it looks like there's an invisible carpet underneath the vehicle...

Can confirm for anybody that's bothered by it the weapon wheel glitch on switch is due to image upscaling. The pc version has the same glitch if you enable dlss. If you disable it the glitch goes away. The reason the xbox and playstation consoles don't have the glitch is because they don't use image upscaling for these games like the switch. Unless another patch comes out post the mobile ports of the game you won't get rid of this anytime soon.

Ironically, the gta trilogy released under Netflix fixes most lighting issues and performance.

I appreciate your video, most videos I see on the Definitive Edition just focus on small glitches that don't really effect the game, when all I wanted to know is if it's still playable and fun. I've been dipping back into Vice City on my switch and I have to agree that while it's not perfect, it's still very fun and the new controls make the missions less of a pain in the arse. The only real issues I've run into is the AI seems a lot more chaotic than I remember from PS2 as I've seen at least one crazy npc crash through lightpoles every time I go from one mission to the next.

Red dead redemption running good but not three ps2 games.. it was just an awfull remaster

The gtas in the trilogy are the ones i play the most i dont like how 4 and 5 are slow and clunky and the load times on 5 are awful on previous gen but i still like 4 wnd 5 i also love saints row 2 3 4 haven't played 1 though

The games really still need updates ,I had a problem where in vice i would go near el swanko and my garage and it crash

I was planning to release similar video, but once I've installed switch GTA I was shocked that comparing to pc and ps4-5 - switch gta is still awful...

I was never a big fan of the GTA games, I thought the missions were a chore.I personally like the Saints Row games on the Switch, especially the alien one. They were way over the top.
