I have had a armor 9 for 2 years and its a beast i work in construction and it has taking alot of abuse..still working fine i just ordered the armor 14. Love these phones

TBH I don't care about HD, I'm just happy I didn't buy the Oukitel WP15 before I found out it didn't have an aux jack. I care about toughness, battery capacity and aux basically, I think this is the phone for me, I just wish there were more "compact" phones with like a 5.5'' display instead of these windshields. I'm open to suggestions

I don't understand people who review this phone from the prospective of a gamer/photographer. Its like comparing a Ferrari on how well it pulls a trailer. This is a tool. I need a phone that works out in the field, that will have the screen on all day, and may get wet and dropped. Stick to reviewing iPhone/Galaxies bud because I don't think you get the concept and the main target audience of a rugged smart phone.

I am in the proces of buying a ruged phone. I have now a CAT S61. S62 is a downgrade in my opinion. I am almost convinced to a ulefon, but I don;t understand why the 13 has better specs than the 14? Is it the same like with the CAT that the older one is better, or is it just the numbers mixed up? My favorite seems to be Ulefone Power Armor 13, but I want the top flag ship with the best specs.

How do you even recognize HD+ from FULL HD+ on such small screen? There's absolutely no difference. You're being unreasonable.

This is a tool my guy not a fancy Samsung S series.

Suggestion. If your reviewing a rugged phone. Maybe focus on durability and waterproofing stuff instead of just the spec's and resolution of the screen.

How does the notch matter. It's so small. If you couldn't tell that the display wasn't what you thought then why do you care. You consider a deal breaker to be something that you can't tell. That's crazy.

1) 90hz screen, 2) wireless+reverse charging, 3) OTG USB, 4)3.5 headphone jack, 5) solar panels on back, 6) infrared Night Vision with 7) 8000+ mah and 8) 5g 🔋? Thats my dream rugged phone ;) Edit : Even samsung uses 720 hd display on A13 etc

These kind rugged/outdoor/military phones need solar panels on back like noaa for emergency calls

Hi, I got the phone, I have an issue when it has to scan 280 QR codes from the amazon parcels I have to deliver daily, I got in touch with the Ulefone team, but seems they have not a clue, any idea, it takes ages to do it, thanks.

lower resolution to me means better performance AND battery life meaning that baller battery and aging gpu will go way further for me in the long run. also it means when im streaming video it will only have to buffer 720p saving me data over fullhd phones. bruh i was on the fence about this thing before and your video just sealed the deal. thank you for helping me feel confident in my purchase im gonna buy it right now.

Why do you people keep comparing the 14 with the 13? Yes, the 13 is higher specced but it also costs a whole chunk more! There's the answer right there, folks.

There is no need for your recommendation as yes or no. I am using the old version Ulefone Armor 3 since 2018 and its still working perfect, I change it every 3 days since then and sometimes every 4 days. The camera resolution is not perfect as the Samsung or iPhone camera but still working perfect. One day I went with my friends to the field trip for full day 12+ hours, at the end of the day, all of theirs phone's batteries went down except me :-) (Still 85% remaining) and I was feeling like superman. Thanks Ulefone.

It doesn't make it or break it for me at the price point I mean we are talking 1/5th the cost of a s21

The only thing about the screen I care about is whether it gets smashed or not. I work outdoors in rough conditions and I also camp.

I'm old enough not to enjoy holding a phone close enough that I'd see any difference between 720p and 1080p on a 5-6 inch display.

However, I'm also old enough not to enjoy the size of modern smartphones in general (currently using a Cubot King Kong Mini, no, I had never heard of the brand before, either, but it was small) so this Chonky Boy has another dealbreaker for me, unfortunately.

One of my older coworkers bought this and honestly I'm impressed. I'm a tech guy so I prefer flagship phones but for someone who just needs a phone that works, it's fantastic.

The screen wasn't amazing but honestly it didn't look bad. I was a little off put that it uses micro USB more than the lack of a 1080p display. I'd rather never see a micro usb ever again. They sucked from the start.

A 720p display consumes less energy than full HD. For a portable device like a phone, where the screen is small (unlike a laptop), this resolution makes perfect sense. Especially with a soc like these more budget oriented phones have. I just don't understand the fascination with high resolution mobile screens, that kills the battery.

It is only $220 with a nicer screen it will be like $700. The people that use rugged phones don’t care about fancy screens

Can this be charged with 5v or can it only be charged with 9v?

its a dirt cheap phone, very affordable. i dont care about the screen resolution. i would care more about if it runs under -30c or if it will survive high drop or submerged. or future like walkie talkie / range finder etc.

Seems like its a downgrade to Ulefone power armor 13, maybe this is an entry level model of Ulefone's Rugged phone. By the way, still a reliable rugged phone for me!

Can anyone recommend a phone under $200? I won't use it for a cell phone. I use outside in the woods to take pics and listen to books while I work. I want long battery life, rugged if possible, very good camera.

It's a cheap rugged 4G phone with a huge battery. Did you really expect to get high tier components in a phone that was launched with an introductory price of only $159 USD including free shipping?

Always verify the true specs. Never trust the marketing literature.

I dont agree with you. this is a phone meant for work, not for good displays or gaming. you have to keep that in mind when buying it.. this smartphone is meant to be "durable" in all terms, in terms of the rugged case and in terms of battery and consume. Hd+ consumes less than full HD, so, in terms of durability, it is better a Hd+ (Considering the screen is normally the part that consumes most battery on a phone)

I really love this phone for the purpose is meant, durability, for other uses, find other phones.

HD+ is a No-Go for you!? For me absolutely not! Higher Resolutions need more battery power, and I can not see any difference with my eyes. HD+ ist good enough for me, it's cheaper and need less power! I doesn't care about higher Resolutions in Smartphone displays and I wonder why the display resolution is for many people such a big thing.

I will never understand how the Chinese manufacturer mind works : Armor 14 is a downgrade of the Armor 13.....

Ulefone and Blu have proven that wireless charging can be put into cheap phones, I wish some of the other manufacturers would follow suite. My perfect phone would be something like the Xiaomi Note 11 Pro but with wireless charging.
