documenting Manjaro Linux install on HP 17-bs077cl Laptop

decided to give this OS a run on a laptop I acquired for software dev. seems pretty solid so far, very few complaints after running it for 2 weeks.

-- main complain/only complaint: only ever uses the intel graphics card. One of the reasons I bought this laptop is because it has a ATI Radeon Graphics card, which would be helpful for some openGL programming, however I have no idea and can find no information on how to actually make it use the graphics card. Even launching demanding games on Steam, it still stays on the Intel graphics card. However I may have resolved thanks to documentation on the Manjaro Wiki: https://wiki.manjaro.org/index.php/Catalyst --nope, bricked my install going through this wiki suggestions
