I know this is one of your older videos but I hope you can answer me. I am retired and want to start seeds indoors and your video is so helpful. I have a question though, do you use the warm and cool bulbs together at the same time? I am a little confused on the usage. Thank you so much.
ОтветитьDo you put one of each bulb into the fixture, or both cool in one and both warm in the other?
ОтветитьHello
How close to the plants 🪴 👀 🤔
Best video so understandable.
ОтветитьI just found your channel. I love all your videos. I was never clear on how best to set up grow lights and which ones to get. This video helped so much. So I went to Lowes. And now I see this video was made 2 years ago. Well i guess thats enough time for things to change. And neither Lowes nor Home Depot carries these type of light fixtures. Such a bummer because everything else is a kit that you cant add bulbs to. Everything is LED now. So from what I found, you have to look for "Full Sprectrum T8 LED" lights. I really appreciate this video because it did lead me to what I should be looking for. I found an article online that said that the EU is now phasing out fluorescent lights. I'm sure that is and/or will effect the US market as well.
ОтветитьExcellent video!
ОтветитьWow as always, you are truly a great teacher! Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьThank you, thank you, thank you, for breaking it all down in small easy steps. Cannot wait to get down to the DIY STORE.
ОтветитьHoping to set up a growing station this spring!
ОтветитьYou are truly kind to keep it simple.. I don't get why others make it seem like you need to be a scientist to figure it out lol
Just a quick question, this setup should be great for all types of seedings correct? ( flowers and vegetables)
Thanks so much
I was so excited and had my husband watch this too. Went to Lowe's and Home Depot and you can't even BUY fluorescent lighting anymore! Now what!? Everything is LED.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video!
ОтветитьHi, Its been 2 years since you posted this video so I'm hoping you might still respond to my question. I have been on Amazon looking at lights for the last month and there are SO MANY options that I'm completely confused. Could you please share with me what brand of lights you use and the strength of the lights in watts, kelvins and lumens? How much brightness is needed to really get those seeds starting quickly?
Also, if I went with full-spectrum led's can you recommend a brand and the brightness level as you did for the fluorescent bulbs? I really appreciate any clarification you can give me. This is my first time and I want to succeed and not have to run out and buy stronger lights because I didn't get bright enough ones the first time. The shelving rack I'm using will be 4 feet wide × 18 inches deep.
Thank you very much! 🙂
So much useful information, thank you. Keep up the great work! 👏
Ответить🙏 thank you 🌸
ОтветитьAnother very helpful video. I’m just getting ready to purchase my lights and now I know just what to do.
Ответить❤❤❤ Ty for this video. Giving me some wonderful ideas.
ОтветитьWow, what a through tutorial!! Thank you, thank you, thank you🥰
ОтветитьThanks so much for all this info. I am in NZ and was feeling a little daunted by the prospect of setting up lights. My seedlings last year were quite straggly so I do want more sturdy plants.
ОтветитьI really love your video. I experiment with light myself. Have you tried to stimulate flowering in your plants, using a cool and warm light? I am talking about regular LED or fluorescent lights and not specialized grow lights. Your informations are very detailed and easy to follow. Thank you!
ОтветитьCan i use this concept for my house plants. You did a beautiful job. Ty
Roseanne New York
thank you! just what i needed!
ОтветитьI know this video goes back quite a but, but I think the approach is similar to what is being used for Reef Feeling (The eternal debate between T5 vs LED); I’m currently using an aquarium fixture advertised as a 14,000K 16W that was enough to grow corals for my Maple Seedlings
Ответитьyour video was SO helpful for me! I felt so overwhelmed thinking about starting down this path but you girl are AMAZING! Blessings to you!
ОтветитьYou are so helpful. Thank you so much. I love watching your videos.
ОтветитьWhat is heat in toom ,and tep?
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьAppreciate your transparency and honesty
ОтветитьThis was so helpful! Thank you. Really excited to get started. Do you know how many Watts the T8 fluorescent bulbs should be?
ОтветитьYes,they are more affordable but they do use more electricity than leds, and with the enormous increase in electricity costs it may not be sustainable in the long run for those of use needing to watch our expenses.
ОтветитьThank you I tried and nothing worked
Next yr take your advice I’m overwhelmed and your advice is great
Thank you, so much. I was getting sucked down a rabbit hole of grow lights and you have saved me!! I'm going to do exactly as you showed because that is all I need. I appreciate your content. Thank you!!!!!
ОтветитьThat was very helpful. Right now I'm in lighting confusion so I thank you! Enjoy your site!!
ОтветитьThis is my first year seed starting, and I’m overwhelmed with all the information with lights and the cost! Thank you so much for making it easy and affordable for us!
ОтветитьYour are really an excellent teacher, thank you!
ОтветитьThis is the most useful grow light video I've ever watched, and lemmie tell ya, I've watched a ton now. lol Thank you for the info!
ОтветитьThis was great! Thank you so much for sharing, this video was extremely helpful!
ОтветитьI cannot thank you enough!!!!!!! I have been looking for exactly this video. However, the effort you took literally going to the store and showing with detail how to do it was such a blessing!!!!!
ОтветитьThank you. Excellent!!
ОтветитьGood morning , how many shop lights do you have per a shelf ?
ОтветитьIts a year later ...but still a very great video and helpful.
ОтветитьCan I grow lettuce and herbs with this ?
ОтветитьThank you so much for such a comprehensive video! That's really helpful!
ОтветитьThank you so much for such a comprehensive video! That's really helpful!
ОтветитьThanks for going shopping and showing us what is needed!
ОтветитьOh, thank you so much for making this! I have been very confused as to what kind of lights I should get - LED grow lights, or shop lights? As you mentioned in the video, there are so many companies out there trying to convince you that you need their product. It was rather discouraging seeing how much grow lights cost, and with how many I would have to buy, it would end up costing a small fortune! This cleared up all the questions I had about grow lights, and has given me the confidence boost I needed to get started. Again, thank you so much! You've earned a new subscriber. ☺
ОтветитьThis is a great video for beginners as well as veteran gardeners. I have referred back it several times. The detail is so very much appreciated.
ОтветитьGreat video! I had a very hard time finding a plug in version of the shop light at my Lowe’s- instead i got the Hyper Tough 4ft LED Shop Light 5000 Lm from Walmart! They’re working great
ОтветитьThank you for this video! Love that you took us to the store with you. I'm a newbie with using lights, and this helped a ton!
