Great video, but I got a couple of questions, how did you frame the bottom without having to rip out the drywall? And why do you not now have a 2x12 header on top of that window?? That's a load bearing wall so I'm confused there. Would really appreciate some feedback, just trying to learn.
ОтветитьWear some safety goggles, man!
ОтветитьRisky using a grinder with no guard and no safety glasses. Protect your eyes, they don't grow back.
ОтветитьI found this video searching for Lil, John's get low song
ОтветитьWhere is safety glases and safety cover for grinder?
ОтветитьHow much is it for labor to add a window like that?
Ответитьforego the safety spectacles, i like it!
ОтветитьJeff, you are awesome.thanks for letting us know you are human too. Let’s us know even when BBC we mess up, we will be able to persevere!
ОтветитьSearched for "to the window, to the wall" and I'm not even disappointed.
ОтветитьSafety glasses would be a good idea!
ОтветитьLOL... I'm so happy to see that you make simple mistakes like mismeasuring like I do!! Most encouraging thing I've seen all week. HAHAHA
ОтветитьWhy not tape the Tyvek on the vertical edges to the blueskin?
ОтветитьI wanted to know what song said ‘from the windows to the wall..’ and here I am, looking at this very informative video.
Thanks Lil Jon for directing me towards this channel 😂
One tip wear proper eye protection you don’t want to loose a eye when a $3 pair of PPE could of saved you the trouble.
ОтветитьHey !!! Where is your safety Glasses 😮
ОтветитьSafety glasses be safe!
ОтветитьSawzall
Metabo
Kotex
There’s 1000s
SAFETY GLASSES! (I DON’T WEAR THEM EITHER)
my dad taught me that is why God gave us eye lashes and the ability to squint.
solid cuts with the angle grinder. Nice control
ОтветитьLove you cut 39 instead 49 it happens ❤great job
Ответитьnice video!
ОтветитьAfter you cut out the window opening, then I seen the window, I'm thinking how in the world is he going to get that big window in that small cut-out, so I just continued to watch, really I thought I was seeing things or may be I missed something, until you confirmed that I wasn't, believe me you had me going there for a while. By the way when it come to making sure that the J-Channel stays in place for good use Sika-Flex 221 or 252 just put it on and forget it it is permanent!
ОтветитьSafety glasses dude!
ОтветитьMy volume is high and still your video is mute
ОтветитьNo ear plugs or eye protection eh?
ОтветитьBut that's not complete. How do you add the interior dry wall siding to frame the window?
ОтветитьEnjoyed the video, but where are your Safety Goggles!
ОтветитьCool video....power tools + no safety glasses = Canadian...hahahahaha
ОтветитьAs always, a fantastic film. I really like the notion of finishing things off before installing a window. We appreciate you taking the time to show us how to do things around the house and providing all the information.
ОтветитьThis is great! We love your attitude:) Thankyou!
ОтветитьSkil was the company that developed the first circular saw. Milwaukee 'Saw-z-all' first recip saw. Johnson and Johnson 'Q-tip' first cotton swab et cetera.
ОтветитьI like the fact that your real
Ответитьwhere are your safety glasses Jeff hahahaha
ОтветитьNo eye protection. With 10000rpm tools. 🤔🤔🤔
ОтветитьWait... you didn't caulk behind the brick mold? Or did you do it after the dry fit test and just didn't film it?
ОтветитьI know this comment is 3 years late :> However, Jeff I didn't see a header above the window. It's probably there but you didn't mention it. I'd never get that past a permit inspection without a header, king and jack studs in place.
ОтветитьThought I could install a window myself. This video changed my mind. So many different cutting tools, better get the J trim right.
ОтветитьI wonder why he wrote several inches to the left of the window? Will the trim cover that?
Ответитьso, no header, king studs etc?
ОтветитьSo I'll have to buy that for my grinder then retrim with vinyl after i put the new window in
ОтветитьYou show its before the window gets put in you do the vinyl trimming
ОтветитьThis was EXACTLY the video I needed, thank you so much. There are NO other videos I’ve been able to find in how to deal with how to handle vinyl siding installed before a window. In my case, need to replace rotted window, 35 ft above grade
ОтветитьGreat video, i think Shims will do good when you screw the window so it won't move
ОтветитьGood luck 👍
ОтветитьYour like my dad, through and through...
No safety glasses and exitedness in your voice!-
SIR! I have been trying to find that type of window for weeks, is that a replacement window with the window casing already installed??? please advise!!!
