i like how he finishes with "love your suit". shes going through this extreme event in her life and grieving yet her hair is brushed and she has a nice suit on almost as if she still feels the need to look nice and fancy despite circumstances

When he started taunting the senator, even my heart got heavy. I still remember the first time I saw this movie; on the train and in the night alone in the whole compartment. Couldn't sleep that night

He only appears for like 15 minutes total but you can feel his presence in the whole movie. That’s the power of godtier acting

Am I the only person who finds it odd that they would include 3 metal pin-shaped rods mounted onto the plastic bite-mask for a murderous-criminal?

If he manages to pry one of those rods out or one of those rods becomes loose, it's game over. The dude literally escaped a guarded prison cell with the tip of a pen, and you're just going to, essentially, give him 3 more pen tips?!?! (I know he hadn't done that yet at this point... but still.)

In the book, when she answers his question “yes,” his response is “thirsty work, isn’t it?” They should have kept that line.

That line about phantom pain is absolutely nauseating. He’s comparing the mutilation of the daughter to the fingering of the mother, how psychotic do you have to be to say sth like that?

As dark as this movie is, the "love your suit" line was honestly laugh out loud funny, just so unexpected and darkly comedic. I love how he widens his eyes afterwards for emphasis too
