Sorry, but I do not understand why you keep making the connection between famous people and college degrees. You said your favorite author earned a degree in chemistry, therefore it is a good idea. If anything that would be a complete waste for your author friend as they didn't use it AT ALL. Can you please explain your logic?

I prefer the ones which are not related to Math and Science because they are weird. At the end of your course degree, you will follow the demanding cases in your country. If your country percentage work is almost about agriculturals then, take agricultural degree. Taking Math and Science are for those industrialized countries with improving its technological aspects. Sir, don't mislead people by your ratings. Its not a fact at all.

Science and math degrees are very demanding to you only. There are any other works that refers to hands on task like being part of an employees under the government. Wtf. Sorry to say but this is not accurate.

For me, any degrees related to automotive field, its cheap, its practical, and if you know what you doing, you could make 6 figures. And if you pair with mechanical engineering degree, its a guarantee profit and a right to talk shit to the other engineers if they did something wrong on designing a vehicles at the same time. It may be 6 years worth of time but its worth it.

Really important to also know guys that whatever you choose will be viable. I took game design and interactive media at MSU for 4 years during my undergrad and landed multiple great job offers right out of college starting at 70k a year. Don't get too caught up on what the most socially accepted and prestigous majors are if none of them are what your interested in. Follow your dreams to a certain extent (I.E. you want to be a musician so you might want to double major or minor in something aswell as music) while being smart about it.

I struggle with math but I love it. I also love problem solving and I’ve been coding for 8-9 months which I’ve discovered I love as well. I have a willingness to learn as well so I believe computer science is my degree. I just need to work on math which shouldn’t be too hard!

I'm not long for this world
My wife loves cats but because of the house and the fact that her brother and dad are allergic we've never been able to own a cat
Is there a distributed shoe based compound mechanism that would decay at a constant rate that I could make cats walk behind and congregate at our house

I dont understand the hate for science degrees. Its always developing just like technology. At first the technology we had was the best one, now we have new tech thats best. As we progress in society new things are found. Its better than religion that lends itself to circular thinking. I get the aversiveness to people with these degrees because they usually have an ego. But when i was growing up in the 80's and 90's. IT people had ego, teachers had ego, pastors had ego, everyone with a degree had ego. If we are dismantling everyone that shouldn't have an ego we need to get rid of the ego for everyone. Even the trades as well. No one deserves to think they are better than someone else. If you dont agree then what work should we recognize that puts those people better than others.

Honestly, I think Shane clearly has a bias towards STEM degrees in this , I can understand Computer Science and Engineering, but general academic science degrees and even nursing ?. (I do respect nurses both male and female , but i think shane was talking from a financial point of view ).

The problem is not education ,it's our attitude towards life. We are too inclined towards employment. We can't even think about making money without having a job. We are just made to think like employees 😅

How can this be true? Almost 70% of people now having college degrees and also about 40% who start drops out? If both are true, then you have more than 100% of the population who embarks on a college degree (irrespective of completion).

Disagree with Computer Science. Most Computer work is “On-Call” 24x7. Coding is outsourced cheep to India. AI will kill a lot of the man power needed.

Videos like this make me laugh because the whole supposition is one of - just make money. FOLLOW YOUR PASSION PEOPLE - DON'T LET VIDEOS LIKE THIS DUPE YOU INTO THINKING THAT YOUR LIFE AS AN ADULT IS ONLY ABOUT MONEY...being educated is many different things to different people! Some of the worst and most boring interactions that I've had were with people who think like this - they knew relatively nothing outside of what they learned in school. Some of the best and most fulfilling interactions were with people who studied Liberal Arts, Communications, History. etc... because they had a view on life that wasn't besieged by just money. In the end it's all about you - yes, bills need to be paid and people have material wants, but life is bigger than these "Top Ten Majors" and so is being "educated".

Degrees are good in just getting you through the door for most fields, but #1 thing is knowing how to articulate yourself in an interview and actually crafting a good resume.

You also need to actually know what you want to do in life, or if you're like me and don't really have any passion in anything you could turn into a career, look for stability

IMO Healthcare is the best degree, because one is less likely to get canned after the old age of 40. Saw that before my eyes with Engineering and Programming in 07 recession.

Not trying to be a Cassandra, but now it is 23, and AI could be more of a threat in most industries.
