Hello! Thank you for your tutorial. When pressed bake mesh maps you had the height option, how do you make that possible? I am trying to bake height maps in substance aswell.

Can you make a character customization system? Like the sims4 one, Or the Alchemia Story one that can control height/fat/muscle. And separate clothes pieces that can transform itself to matched the character parts

Hey man, first of all, thanks for the tutorial. I have a question... Does the scale of the model have anything to do with baking the textures? If I bake the model and then once the textures are done, I scale it to another size for some reason, will the textures lose quality?

Why not decimate the high version? It'll take less time to export it and if your PC is bad it can't handle the high version (yes even when using it as the target _high bake inside SP).

Second, you can bake it in Zbrush which surprisingly takes no time (you need subdivision levels to do this but it takes no time to create normal maps as far as i have tested it), but then again i haven't done this workflow but it should work.


The only benefit i can think for this method is that if you want the BEST quality(decimating can lower some quality i guess) and you have time (and good enough PC) then this is okay.

Correct me if im wrong guys.

I watched some videos on this recently and I believe that substances _low and _high labels are case sensitive so they need to be lower case, if I'm right but hope this helps

I have an issue were the textures dont match up in the low poly model. what i mean is, Imade a sword and the ridges on the handle look different when I make the high poly. so all the texturing looks of when I put them on the low poly version.
