I don't think WDW could use the Spiderman animatronic since they have that stupid contract about not having certain Marvel characters in the parks. I would love it if I'm wrong and Spiderman is an exception the way that the Guardians of the Galaxy apparently are but I would think they probably would've put spiderman in the parks. It has something to do with Universal if I recall correctly. Disney can't put certain marvel characters in their parks east of the Mississippi River.
ОтветитьI’m curious how much the cuts to Disneyland entertainment is due to performer unionization and Disney wanting an upper hand for bargaining (i.e., threatening more cuts or continuing with limited entertainment unless the get what they want out of the bargaining process).
ОтветитьFuture frontierland train conductor audio: "this is my favorite part of the line, concrete mockeries of natural beauty as far as the eye can see."
ОтветитьBased on the time it took to finish the Epcot work around the fountain 2019-2024, this expansion should be completed by 2044. Don’t use COVID as an excuse, as Universal has almost completed Epic Universe during the same period. 🥸
Ответитьthe only thing that made avengers campus ok at best was the live entertainment which is mostly gone now, the spider man ride sucks so why even go to that area
ОтветитьWhat happened to little mermaid show at Hollywood studios? I thought that was coming back this fall
ОтветитьThe last thing I was expecting to hear viewing this was the Spidey attraction closing. That was the highlight of my first and only visit to Avengers hallway last summer. What. The actual. Eff.
Ответитьthe trolley should come back as a link between DCA and the DF DCA expansion.
ОтветитьOn cutting entertainment to save money for Disneyland Forward - that sure sounds like an excuse to me. How expensive is it to put on the Spiderman show for a year? A couple million dollars? 10 million? They're spending a couple of billion dollars on Disneyland Forward. Even 10 million is just a rounding error. (Just for reference, an off-Broadway play probably doesn't cost 10 million a year. ON Broadway - 20 to 30 million.)
PS - It was fun to meet you at Disneyland on Saturday - I was the older guy wearing a Disney shirt that would fit in to your on screen wardrobe. Hope you had a good and productive trip. I already see bits in this episode that were likely from that trip.
Closing spiederman stunt show is absolutely terrible that is the coolest thing on the west coast
ОтветитьThey better not cancel the Spider Man show. It's one of the most amazing things that WDI has ever created.
ОтветитьCanceling the Spiderman Stuntronic show is like cutting off your nose to spite your face! Utter psychosis!
ОтветитьRiP the stunt-a-tronic 😞
ОтветитьAvengers Campus, suffers from even more Value-Engineering years after it opens.
ОтветитьI seriously wonder if Tom has slept in the last couple days, between stuff at WDW and DLR!
ОтветитьDisneyland Railroad no longer shows the final scene for what was Splash Mountain, being the last scene for Tiana's? That's kind of a big deal. I'm really hoping that's not the final state, because there have been multiple things for Tiana's at DL that don't seem to be ready/open for DVC preview.
ОтветитьAs someone from the UK who has yet to visit and see the Spider-Man stuntronic, I would love for it to transfer over to Paris!
There is also an expansion plot behind Avengers Campus, Theatre of the Stars, and the future Lion King plot that I’d love to see used for one or two more Avengers themed rides to really flesh out the land. Perhaps a Wakanda mini land to help transition into Lion King?
Maybe the stunttronic is moving to another park? It would be a poor decision to just scrap it, and it would fit very well in DLP for example.
ОтветитьProject ROW… hmm wonder what that could stand for, real or wrong answers accepted.
ОтветитьDisney has not been the same since the Disney family left. All they want to put in the parks is IP into the parks. No Originality left. It's slowly becoming an amusement park and not a theme park.
ОтветитьFBI.
ОтветитьI noticed the construction when I was on thunder this past week
ОтветитьTom hate (HATES) generic plush. Gross.
ОтветитьWhy do you need a membership card and photo ID to get into the DVC lounge, when according to the left, it is considered racist to need those things to vote?
ОтветитьTiana Land ride will be a reason For Japan to close its border.
ОтветитьWhat is there even to do in avengers campus right now, bootleg spider toy story mania?
ОтветитьI absolutely love the dinosaur plushes at the dino games area. I’m going to miss those! I wonder what they’ll do with all those when it’s closed.
ОтветитьThis is our 3rd time using dvc store rental and it keeps getting better. They now have a cash return policy which is unheard of. We've used the other rental service and it's worked just as well but no returns at all.
ОтветитьMugs up last time a year and a half ago, shaking more money from our pockets
ОтветитьI filled out info at Be our Guest and no one ever contacted me. I booked the cruise myself and the trip to Universal.
ОтветитьThe Spidey animatronic (not the show itself), the food, character meetings, and Guardians are the only redeeming parts of Avengers Campus.
ОтветитьOriginally back when they have encantó coco and the villains before encanto move to animal Kingdom and all that plot was replaced by cars there was no plans in sacrificing rivers of America but what I seen a new episode of DSNY Newscast it will be a lot of cost

This is so ridiculous - the only reason you build a Marvel Land at a theme park is so that guests can see the superheroes do superhero stuff in real life. It honestly doesn't matter that the architecture mostly sucks (except the one thing that's now vacant), because what are the iconic Marvel locations anyway? Watching Dr. Strange casting magic. Or Spider-Man flipping around on webs. Or the Avengers fighting bad guys. Or a stage show about Captain America. That's the immersive element - without the live performers, you might as well just build a Six Flags.
We have the place and equipments on the roofs for it in Paris (I do work on the Campus in Entertainment), but as what can see budgetly actually I believe for the short time, we will not have it, and also for maintenance costs reasons end security realability (france norms). But that just my opinions of what i can hear. I am not talking on behalf of TWDC. We will see ;-)
ОтветитьThe spiderman stuntronic was such a huge draw and they went to all the work to build that show into the land. It was so exciting every single time and people love it. I hate this so much and I hate what they're doing at Disneyland right now.
ОтветитьDino land USA should be changed to Zootopia land
And it makes sense Indiana Jones and Encanto makes no sense because they’re both combined And it makes no sense
““Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” - Arthur C. Clarke.
Pretty dang close, Tom, pretty dang close. 🙌🌟🌟🌟
It Means It Will be Soon Time to Say Goodbye to the Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Liberty Belle Riverboat.
ОтветитьI love the Disneyland RR so much! Just hearing that iconic announcer's voice brings back so many nostalgic feels
ОтветитьNobody wants your lame ass sign
ОтветитьI always roll my eyes when I hear Disney has to do anything "due to budget." I'd imagine those parks have a huge surplus.
ОтветитьSpider-Man doesn't get the respect he deserves
ОтветитьFrontier racecar land.
ОтветитьThe disgrace of the imagination pavilion. ….Once so fun! Now…so sad.
ОтветитьNot sure how Disney world could use the Spiderman stuntronic. Maybe Indiana Jones could fly around on his whip over the new land at animal kingdom (:
ОтветитьTom I don't think you should praise WDW entertainment too much before they even bring back stuff like the GF Orchestra and Citizens of Hollywood😢
ОтветитьThe quote you're looking for (and I believe it was Arthur C Clarke who said it?) is "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."
