ОтветитьI grew up on this group and groove ....
ОтветитьI farted in a pocket once. 🤦♂️
ОтветитьI am taking over your show. Please just sit there and be quiet. I will not be engaging in any conversation with you whatsoever. The end.
ОтветитьLove how she is open to so many genres of music! She is my dream drummer- I'm a guitarist and finding a good drummer is very, very difficult and the drummer can make or break a band. Cheers from Louisiana! P[><]F
ОтветитьDamn! Anyone who can play that LinnDrum pattern from 777-9311 has my respect. Lots of people do a faulty version of it but the Queen has it down perfectly! Incredible!
ОтветитьThe Time was executed, BEAUTIFULLY!!!
ОтветитьYou rock
ОтветитьI knew 7779311 had an impact on you ,,,when I saw your video !!!!!!
Ответитьsonny emory and lenny white are my main influences for drumming

ОтветитьSay What - Trouble Funk Positivity - Prince Fat bottom Girls - Queen Every little things she does is magic - The Police The message- GrandMaster Flash& The Furious Five
ОтветитьIs that a Big Black Steel snare drum she is playing?
Ответитьbeautiful excellence
ОтветитьGreat drummer & from what I hear a lovely person.
Songs:
1. Aja - Steely Dan - [Aja] - not for the obvious solo stuff by Steve, but the overall feel/groove & particularly for the dynamics which so many drummers have no concept of
2. Third Wind - Pat Metheny - [Still Life Talking] - Paul Wertico just makes this bounce along, almost effortlessly (though it's obviously not!)
3. Says - Al Jarreau - [Lis for Lover} - Steve Ferrone showing how to make something funky essentially with hh/snare/bd. The syncopation is just magic.
4. Fred - Tony Williams - [Believe It] - a great example of fusion playing (from 1975). Tony's ability to take 60's jazz sensibilities & apply them to a rock setting - my goodness!
5. Frenchman's Flat - Larry Carlton - [Sleepwalk] - Jeff Porcaro's shuffle beats are unparalleled (as we know from 'Rosanna'). This is a doozie.
(Can I add a 6? - well, hell, I'm going to!)
6. Blame it on my youth - Keith Jarrett - [The Cure] - Jack DeJohnette proves the Pocket Queen's point that drummers aren't just timekeepers, they're composers, integral to the piece. Jack does so little in many ways but it's vital to the overall feel/sonic soundscape & it's just wonderful. The space he leaves for everything else to happen is an art - one I try to replicate when doing similar jazz gigs & as my mother would say "light & shade" - meaning dynamics - couldn't be better illustrated here.
🔥 we need a keyboard version or guitar version of this show
Ответить..in the pocket 🙂
Ответитьshe is one of my favorite woman drummers
ОтветитьReally!!!….You’re giving this simpleton all this attention ? Why??…. Because she’s a woman!!

Awesome Artist! Absolutely love The Pocket Queen!
ОтветитьThat first beat is from 777-9311 The Time. She is just young, and doesn’t know where Carter got it.

ОтветитьHeavy Gratitude
Ответить1. Rosanna - Toto
2. Slither - Velvet Revolver
3. Roxanne - The Police
4. Burning for you - Blue Oyster Cult
5. Shine - Collective Soul
These are just a few for musicians at any given point there's probably thousands of points on inspiration.
How to invest in this artist?
ОтветитьInterested to buy some of your drumeo shirts.

ОтветитьJe t'aime.
ОтветитьA prend moi à joué maman stp...
ОтветитьMy 5 favorite songs to play(groove) to...
Charles Jenkins(War)... Jacklyn Carr(Jehova Jeriah)...Veshawn Mitchell(nobody greater)...Guns n' Roses(Sweet Child o' mine)...& Micheal Jackson(Thriller)
On my practice playlist. I love the entire concept of pocket.
ОтветитьPocket queen yes
ОтветитьMmm Mr. Beauford.. goddamn those lines are incredible 🖤
ОтветитьStewart Copeland, the Police Drummer was amazing!! I don't know how he is not ranked up there with one of the top 10 drummers of all time? Voice in my head was an example of Stewart's drum excellence!!
ОтветитьGirlz talk too much
ОтветитьCopeland, while I have a completely different style than he does, really opened my eyes to how important the hi hat is. It's the constant, and it can add or release drama at any point in the phrase. O My God from Synchronicity is another great one to listen to for understanding why the hats aren't just a timekeeping throwaway device.
ОтветитьThanks.
ОтветитьLove the pocket queen! Its all about the groove!
ОтветитьEVEN KNOWING THE SONGS WITH OUT THE MUSIC MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO INTRTPET FOR BRGINNERES WHY NO MUSIC TRACK DRUMEO?

ОтветитьCan't quantize the queen
ОтветитьPQ should check out Spirits in the material world by the Police. Stewart Copeland is one of the best. She should do a remake of that song. PQ is Awesome ! 🥁
