Hikvision NVR Network Setup (Step-by-Step)

hi, is it possible to setup the nvr using a laptop connected to it via HDMI, or is just via regular monitor? thanks

Can I tap into a Hikvision security network (DVR/NVR, couple of cameras and a doorbell) from another network ? I'll have my home own wired/wireless network and would like to connect through my smarthome server to the building's security network in order to access cameras alerts doorbell alerts/video feeds.
