My Ultimate ITX Build for Productivity (and Gaming)

Amazing video perfectly explained, and it's perfect for me at this exact moment. I'm getting my first pc build, and I'm between the towers 200 and 300. I'm also in between on the 7900xtx 24gb sapphire pulse or 4080 super oc edition. This is mainly based on ray tracing projections. The case is also 116.99 cheaper since the 200 is on clearance for 60 and no stand available. Then the 4080 Super oc edition is 30 cheaper as well but less vram. But the 4080 is also on a faster ddr6e while the 7900xtx is on ddr6. I got all appropriate high-end hardware for a steal of a price at microcenter. They both should fit everything, but I'm checking with microcenter now. The 200 will also have a 280 aio, which would save me 50. The 300 would have a 360 aio either would be good cpu cooler. I'm doing all thermaltake and amd products. Maybe I need a sponsor for my first video of my channel on THEPROCASTERBATER showing my pc build being done and explained like this. Any notes on thermal differences between the 200 and 300 or do I need to call the oem. My cpu is the ryzen 9 7950x3d, 7900xtx 24gb sapphire pulse gpu, vengeance 6000 2x 32gb ram kit, Samsung 990 pro ssd with heat sync, powered by a thermaltake 1050 gold certified power supply on a gigabyte b650 aorus Elite ax ddr5 motherboard in either the 200 or 300 cases. I can't decide I'm leaning 200 for airflow and how insanely compact it is.

@devyn.johnston I’m a web dev who uses open source (on macOS) for most of my tools and I like the idea of open systems. I also realized I haven’t had a non-work machine for over a decade. I’d like to buy or build one for my own creativity/projects.

I’m turned off by how locked down macs have become, but I also don’t want to spend what little free time I have being hardware IT support for myself. What are your thoughts on this productivity setup comparison from this video, considering long term use? I’d ideally use a personal setup for 5+ years.

Set it and forget it appliance win? Or more time consuming but gradually upgradable platform?

AM5 is supported through at least 2027. I think he said 2025 in the video.

You gained a new subscriber! I love that you select the most sleek and minimal space case! Also, how you focus on making the PC for 3D modeling, video editing, and software engineering (which I am also doing)! But after totaling the parts, it came to around $3,000!! Would love to see a more cost-effective alternative, like around $1,200 :3

IDK what's up with companies refusing to make 3 m.2 ITX boards for AMD especially when the same board will have 3 m.2's for the Intel equivalent (looking at you MSI).

Questions About your wireless Keyboard & Wiress Mouse, are they both connected via the 2.4Ghz dongles?
or are you using Bluetooth for both your wireless keyboard & wireless mouse?
Sorry is this seem like a silly question, as hear that two 2.4Ghz dongles would interfere with each other and planing on building my first ever PC, sometime in 2025 :)

I currently run 4 displays for my setup, would this Meshroom V2 case fit 4 display cables? Or maybe 3 display cables and 1 HDMI port?

Any problems with that AIO pump yet with it being the highest spot in the loop?

Everybody wants small. I have a coolermaster cosmos II its enormous. It doesnt even sit on my desk it sits on a platform all its own.

Ya I chose the case as well because its the only case I'll ever need no need to buy another case ever again. If I need to upgrade i have TONS of room and options.

the 4090 is a foolish choice because they break so easily

Ya ya that large heat sink and al that weight rips it apart where it connects to the mobo dude!

The ONLY way I would use a 4090 is if I used a water block and removed all that weight that kills it!
