I wish Potro was born 10-20 years later. He is truly an amazing player. If he were able to play today physically fit, he certainly would be the most dominant figure to entertain us esp with his best ever forehand skills. Love Potro!

It’s honestly pathetic how slow these courts were at this time. Leave courts that slow for the clay court season. It’s crazy how much they changed the surfaces to help out some players

I have only been to one tennis tournament in my life and it was this one right here. Was devastated to see DelPo lose after witnessing him blow Andy Murray off the court in the quarters.

I got to see Nadal play this year on semifinals day at the US open where he destroyed Gasquet. At least I got to see this legend play one time

this rafa was a warrior unlike any other. he would run and run and run no matter how hopeless, and still pull miracle winners out of thin air. even today rafa has become more tactical with his effort, but this one might be the most demoralizing opponent to ever play on the men's tour.

Watching this in 2022, when he is unbeaten 15-0 on hard courts as well. He looks more invincible nowadays actually, which is kinda incredible for a guy everyone said he’ll be out at his 30s.

This is one of my favorite tournaments that Nadal won. Everyone was writing him off after his injury in 2012, but this match showed that he was back. He then went on to win Madrid, Rome, RG, Montreal, Cincinnati, and the US Open.

This was such a fantastic match! DelPo was in terrific form, and Rafa was just a maestro in 2013. Matches like this (as well as Nadal’s 2013 season where he won IW, Cincinatti, Canada, US Open, etc) shows that anyone who says Nadal is “a clay court specialist”...is lying through their teeth. Rafa has been winning on HC since 2005

When Nadal smells blood in the water he dosen't let up. Creating opportunities with that spin /power to flatten that forehand.

Just look at Rafa how fast he was back then in his prime years! Nowadays he's half as fast and half as strong at rallying than in 2013.. especially on HC. On clay though he sometimes reaches this level of rallying.

Only because of him, meaning Rafa, I love tennis. As a muslim I always pray may Allah guide him and his family.
